Summary:

Aziraphale has attended the Camelot Carnival every summer since he was a boy. Now that he's old enough to have godchildren that he adores, his favorite summer tradition is taking them to see all that the festival has to offer. But he'd be lying if he said tradition was the only thing keeping him coming back year after year. Then again, you'll never get him to admit to his coy infatuation with the attractive red-headed man who operates the Ferris Wheel...

Chapter One: Six Years Ago...

Aziraphale takes his godchildren, Pepper and Wensleydale, to the Camelot Carnival as he does every year. But unlike every other year, this time Aziraphale has his eyes on more than just the candy floss and neon lights...

This is the second bang I’ve participated in and the @gosummerbang team has been spectacular in organizing and running both of them! I’m so happy I get to be a part of this amazing event!

Don’t get me wrong, I kind of grew fond of the hand kiss gesture. But in the Bookshop Garden, when they had privacy - probably for the first time ever - I really grieve a heartfelt conversation; about the things they did wrong, about their affection, about their options. About the reasons why they decided to choose humanity over their own happiness *sigh*

So I chose to give them this hug. We all need this. I will continue drawing moments like this ♥️😭

The vast majority of my issues with the finale boils down to this. They never said goodbye. And that sucks.

Current obsession: Good Omens. Literally nothing else. Ever lmao.

Currently reading: Nothing at the moment, I'm afraid. I was reading a Good Omens fanfic rec from a friend, but I had to put that on pause because the story started to do something similar to something that I'm in the middle of writing right now, and I didn't want to accidentally plagiarize anything or let it influence my own writing.

Currently working on: How much time do you have? 😂

I'm working on a sequel to my fic "Taste So Sweet" for the Restaurant/"Food Fight" Bang, with @DeMented_DeMeown as artist.

I've written and completed (excepting revision) a seven-chapter story for the @gosummerbang called "I Woke Up And Summer's Gone" about carny Crowley and a smitten Aziraphale, with art from @artnmak.

I'm working on a fic (whose title keeps changing) for the @ipb2026 about 1850s newspaperman Aziraphale interviewing an elderly Crowley about his time after the war, with art by @ravuwsted.

I'm working on [redacted] fic(s) for the "The Nice & Accurate Atelier 2026 Fic/Art Exchange" for @[redacted] (shh, it's a surprise!).

I have a few fics in outline for my @fandomtrumpshate auction winners.

I'm currently beta-ing for @fallenwithoutgrace's #gosummerbang fic, and @mirjam-writes and @slytherat #IPB2026 fics.

I'm currently working on Chapter 16 of my Sex Worker Crowley/Client Aziraphale slow-burn fic "Foolish Behavior (Seems Right)" which is currently over 110k words. (The first 15 chapters posted, not the current chapter I'm working on lmaooooo)

Speaking of which, I'm also working with over a dozen INCREDIBLY talented artists who are doing commissions for Foolish Behavior.

And then outside of fandom, I am helping my dad to edit and publish his "Storyworth" which is essentially a memoir and is hilarious and sad and poignant and wonderful.

Last internet search: How does one even check this? 🤣 I mean, technically the last thing I googled was the IMDb pages for this little Q&A. But before that, I think (according to my browser history) it was "yellow heart emoji" because I needed a PNG of it for a graphic. 💛

Hmm. Is this about me? I really hope not.

Because if it is, I never “whined” or complained. I never cast any aspersions on anyone. All I did was point out how the tagging currently works with regard to characters and pairings across OG universe/NU, and I provided a link for folks to be able to search for one without getting it muddled with another. I believe that is the definition of "learning how AO3 works."

But for the record, "wrangling" a character who has a canonical parallel self actually is against AO3 guidelines.

As it says, if the names are different (which they are -- Aziraphale vs Asa, Crowley vs Anthony), they should be separate. Even if they were the same, it says to only subtag under the main character if appropriate for the fandom. It's pretty clear that it isn't for this fandom.

I think it's fair to point out the absurdity in someone having to omit "Aziraphale" from a search of fics that include Aziraphale. It's just nonsensical.

However, if this post is not about me, then I apologize.

Filtering out Anthony/Asa fics on AO3

Hi friends!

It has come to my attention that the character and pairings tags on AO3 have consolidated Aziraphale with New Universe Asa, Crowley with New Universe Anthony, and A/C with Anthony/Asa. I have put in a request to AO3 to have these tags separated out. But currently, if you search for A/C pairings, you will get fics that are new universe Anthony/Asa even if they are not tagged with A/C.

However, there is a way to fix this in your own searches.

When you search for fics with Aziraphale, and/or Crowley, and/or Aziraphale/Crowley, you can filter out anything tagged Asa and/or Anthony and/or "Fellony." You can, of course, do this yourself by simply setting the search parameters as such (e.g. if you wanted all Aziraphale fics and no Asa fics), but I thought it might help to provide you with an easy link for the pairing search.

This is a search for Aziraphale/Crowley fics that excludes fics that are tagged Anthony/Asa (either solely or additionally).
