"Heh... I guess I was gone there for a while, wasn't I?"
>Sorry I'm so shitty at being active. Between stress and a hospital trip, I've been pretty much booked as far as free time goes. But I should be good now, for a while at least. Would anyone like to plot?
{ Letters }
For three months, Sayaka had found herself writing to a mysterious figure by the name of Mami Tomoe. She didn't know what had started it, but eventually, it progressed from a monthly letter to a daily letter in such a short span of time. She considered them friends; they shared common interests, laughed together, HELL they knew what each other looked like from pictures sent in the envelopes. They had just never met before.
Not until now.
It somehow came about that they were to meet at the Mitakihara train station on that Monday afternoon. Sayaka felt her heart jump in her chest as she waited in anticipation to see that face she had grown to admire IN PERSON. She nervous toyed with the frills adorning her skirt as she looked around for a while before finally laying focus on familiar blond drills.
She approached with mild enthusiasm. "Y-You're Mami Tomoe, right? It's Sayaka...!"

「✦」▬♦ Ah, yet another lovely day— the flowers in full bloom and the birds chirping. "Hello, Birdie!” She said to the animal, of course it wouldn’t respond back, that would be odd. The girl hummed to herself as she walked on the sidewalk— paying no attention to the people on the street just as they paid no attention to her.
At least the animals could see her, though, that was nice. She could pet a cat or a rabbit and it would be perfectly fine. But animals weren’t humans, she always got excited when humans could see her, talk to her. It was all ever so thrilling! Oh just the mere thought of it made her heart race.
Over time the girl made her way through town aimlessly, not even realizing where the time had gone by time twilight rolled around. ”(—Oh, jeez… I got lost again…)” She thought to herself, not like she really had a specific 'home' of course, she went and traveled anywhere and everywhere most of the time.
She then noticed an array of colors appear out of nowhere as well as a girl. "—-Such pretty colors…” She muttered, unable to tell the seriousness of the current situation she was in. Blinking a few times as she noticed the girl speak to her. "—Just stay behind you? Got it…” The girl repeated, rather confused about the situation.
The girl didn't appear to be in shock regarding the situation, so Sayaka went in for the kill. A layer of blue mist encased her small frame, whilst her school apparel switched to something that would allow her to move with more ease. She spun around to face her enemy- that being a witch hovering in the centre of the labyrinth, and allowed for a plethora of swords to fall from under her skirt. She took two in her hands and danced atop the Familiars to meet her foe. She offered a few slashes, only to realise her opponent was stronger than initially thought.
{ Crap. I'm gonna look really lame if I can't win, huh? }
Sayaka gave the creature a few more whacks before she fell back to the ground after being hit with a tentacle-like arm. For seconds on end, she felt nothing but pain, but luckily, her healing abilities kicked in soon enough. She rose from her current stance on the concrete and turned towards the stranger. "I guess you know my secret now, huh?...!" She mused playfully, although she was only conversing to pass the time. After all, she needed to be fully restored before she could give it her all again! In the meantime, she raised her sword to kill off one of the witch's Familiar's dancing at her feet. "But hey, I was told that if you can see this stuff, it means you qualify as one of us..."
Sayaka grinned. "So who knows? Maybe you'll be fighting with me one day?" A giggle passed her lips as she turned back towards the witch, suddenly feeling a little more lively.
But how many times will it take for me to get it right?

“Of course, of course!” She brought a curled fist to her lips, masking a small giggle. “Familiars may not be rewarding Grief Seed-wise, but they’re good for the experience!”
A small nod in her direction. “I’m fairly well. I managed to defeat a witch yesterday-the whole shebang, as they say. My Soul Gem is, luckily, purified now.”
"Yeah, Kyubey said I lack 'natural talent' so I guess the best thing I can do is practice. I mean, practice makes perfect, right?" Sayaka said and placed a hand comfortably on her hip.
"That's good to hear though! You know, sometime, we should all go on a witch hunt together again. I mean, sure it uses a lot of magic and stuff, but we get the job done easier," Sayaka suggested. She didn't want to mention that she had been feeling alone lately.

“Miki-san, hello! I was getting a bit worried- I haven’t seen the others much, save for Akemi-san.” Slender digits wrapped around themselves, pressed to the gunner’s chest. “How are you doing? How is your Soul Gem faring?”
"Oh, hey Mami-san. Long time now see!" Sayaka responded, soon followed by a chuckle. "I'm all right. I guess I'm kinda tired, though. Fighting Familiars isn't really as rewarding, y'know?" Her smile dissolved into a more serious expression. "What about you?"

It was such a wonderful day outside. The flowers were blossoming in multitudes of colours amid the sidewalk, and the birds were chirping with elation in the trees. Sayaka was out and about, enjoying the warmth that radiated from the sun, whilst occasionally stopping to window-shop. For once, she was without the company of her school friends; being alone had its perks too, for example: she could wander into the nearby music shop and browse the new selections without having anyone ask if it was for Kyousuke.
It wasn't. Sometimes, she just liked looking for her own sake.
But once the day was drawing to a close, she found herself feeling kind of alone. Due to her new promise to Kyubey, she'd be forced to fight witches as soon as they started appearing, and she wasn't looking forward to risking her life. Even though she wanted to save people- and that would ultimately triumph over the fear when she was done- there was still a trickle of anxiety swelling in her chest.
She started the long journey home at twilight, with her feet dragging across the sidewalk. Her legs were sore and her mind was empty- she just wanted to sleep and not worry about her duties as a magical girl anymore. But of course, that wasn't something she could afford. Because, as soon as she rounded the corner on the street where she lived, the array of familiar colours consumed her tiny frame and she knew she would have to fight.
Unenthusiastically, she held her Soul Gem to her chest and was about to enter the routined transformation sequence when footsteps resounded behind her. She cocked her head back and rested her focus on the silhouette of a stranger- and suddenly, she remembered her reason for being a magical girl in the first place. She offered a small smile as compensation.
"Don't worry! You're safe, okay? Just stay behind me!" She called out.
“‘Or something’.”
The goddess held no ill will towards anyone with the name Sayaka Miki. After all, Sayaka had done nothing but continuously follow her throughout time and space, her ideals matching up with Madoka’s. There was no hatred to be held for the blue-haired puella magi especially since her wish had been so precious. Madoka could not help but admire the fact that Sayaka had someone she had cared about enough that she had used her one and only wish on him. It was a breath of fresh air from the amount of wishes that were so very thinly veiled self-satisfying desires.
She took Sayaka’s hands in hers, her face lighting up, her amber eyes sparkling. “I’m so glad to see you, Sayaka-chan! It’s been lonely without you. Don’t worry about where I’ve been! Just worry about the two of us together now~”
Sayaka was still unfamiliar with this variant of Madoka; although she was happy her childhood companion finally found a wish worth risking her life for, she still didn't know if it was a good idea that anyone was contracting at all. It seemed the only good thing about it was the wish in general, which she herself had used for someone else's sake. She got nothing good out of contracting; while she was happy to save lives every night, the more she did so, the more she suffered.
Not to mention, she ended up regretting more than she initially intended.
"Yeah... I'm glad for that," she answered whilst interlocking fingers with Madoka. Her weary heart flickered softly in her chest; it was nice to touch someone else and not have to worry about her body being worthy enough- probably because now they were both in the same situation. "I guess this means you found a wish then, huh?" She asked, while offering a grin.
♠ ♦ ♣
♠ - What are they afraid of?
Sayaka fears that she will never be worthy of love. With her current position- that being, her soul is no longer located inside her body- she stresses that no one will ever want to hold her or be with her.
Some of her more common fears include snakes and spiders; she is likewise not a fan of most insects.
♦ - What is one thing about them that they are most proud of?
She is most proud of her ability to differentiate between justice and inequality, but a little known talent of hers is being able to distinguish different classical artists only by their distinctive styles.
♣ - What is one thing that they find embarrassing? (About them, others, things in general)
Sayaka is far from being embarrassed by things. She expresses herself in whatever way she pleases and rarely ever worries about the effect it might have on other people.
♪
♪ - Are they musically inclined?
While Sayaka listens to a great deal of classical music, she is unable to play any instruments herself. She would prefer to find new artists that she can show Kyousuke- not to mention, she fears that he would be angry if she suddenly got involved with playing instruments, or more specifically violin,
"Sayaka-chan! How are you?"
Cue a stretch. "Pretty good, actually. Hey, Madoka, we haven't done anything lately-- wanna go shopping?"
