Arrived at Marina Jacks

We arrived today at 1 pm at Marina Jacks in Sarasota. It was a chilly morning with wind from the North but got pretty warm around lunch time. Its beautiful here.

Juhuuu Wir sind in unserem neuen Hafen....oh es ist einfach herrlich hier...Eagle hat jede Menge Hunde zum beschnuppern und die Huebis haben einen super breiten Bootsplatz und gleich mehrere Sushi Restaurants zur Auswahl....

Those pictures are from yesterdays cruise. Love when the dolphins swim with the boat. Today we are still in Palm Island Marina and its raining cats and dogs. Our boat should be spotless by now. Tomorrow will be nice again and then we are cruising the last 35 sm to Sarasota. juhuuuu Can't wait to get there, pack out the bicycles and just ride around town all day!

Nasty thunderstorm is coming through….oh boy its one of the worst ones we had being in a marina.

Arrived at Palm Island Marina at 1pm. It was quiet a bumpy ride. The Marina is beautiful. Sind in der Marina angekommen. Peter sitzt schon im Whirlpool. jjjj

Just passed Shell Point and heading now to Pine Island...lots of islands...its a bit challenging to navigate but there are plenty of markers. We are happy to be on the Westcoast.

Another beautiful morning. We left Ft. Myers at 6:45 am and heading to our next marina, Palm Island Marina at Lemon Bay. This afternoon the cold front moves in, so we better hurry. Ein wunderschoener Morgen hier in Ft. Myers. Wir sind um 6:45 Uhr abgefahren und sind auf dem Weg zum Palm Island Hafen in der Lemon Bay Bucht.

Images from yesterday, when we crossed Lake Okeechobee and today, when we cruised from Clewiston to Ft. Myers. We saw lots of birds and alligators along Caloosahatchee River. 

Heute war wohl die laengste Fahrt, 3 Schleusen und 1 Bruecke und dann noch diese Gewitter um uns herum. Wir sind allerdings trocken geblieben, obwohl unser Boot haette eine Waesche gut gebrauchen koennen, die Lovebugs sind wieder da.

Looks like a nasty storm just in front of us. The last lock is just 4nm away, so hopefully we get through safely. Should arrive at Legacy Marina in Ft. Myers by 3 pm. Böse Wolken ziehen auf, sieht aus als wenn wir gerade drauf zu steuern. In einer halbe Stunde sollten wir bei unserer letzten Schleuse (Franklin Lock ) sein.

Good Morning, we are on our way to our first lock in Moore Haven. Wir sind schon wieder auf dem Wasserweg zu unserer ersten Schleuse in Moore Haven.

soccer game today

Looks like we get to Clewiston right on time for the most important soccer game, Bayern against Real Madrid.

Lift Bridge Mayaca Just got a straight pass through Port Mayaca Lock. Lake Okeechobee Level 13.15 ft today.

First lock, St. Lucie is behind us. It took around 20 minutes and raised about 15 ft. Its always an adventure to go through. Unsere erste Schleuse liegt hinter uns. Es dauerte ca. 20 Minuten und der Level stieg um ca. 4,5m. Immer wieder ein geiles Erlebnis.

One castle after another....its the busiest waterway ever...never seen so many boats

Stuart here we come. Only 17nm to go. Its another beautiful day. Tonight dinner at our favorite restaurant Sailors Return right at the Sunset Bay Marina. Wir sind nur noch 2 1/2 Std. von Stuart entfernt. Heute Abend gehts in unser Lieblingsrestaurant Sailors Return direkt bei unserem Hafen.
