Cringetober 2025 Day 1: Overpowered
She's just saving it for later <3
Inspired by a dc tiktok, TLDR Dick gets his phone confiscated because of Jason and is told to use a pigeon, he tries manâŠbut it makes it somehow
Funnily enough there was a real life homing pigeon who despite getting shot, blinded in an eye, and losing a leg still delivered his message during WW1 and earned a medal of valor for it
Anyways enjoy!

DickKory Week Day 7 - The End
@dickkoryweek2026
They met, and it was⊠kinda random.
âDick was being his usual self: serious, determined, careful about everything, while Kory was loud and reckless. It shouldnât have worked. But it did. Their first kiss was awkward as hell, she kissed him to learn English, of all things. Who wouldâve thought that would become the start of something neither of them fully understood yet, but both felt deep in their gut?
âAfter that, they started dating. And man, they laughed a lot, fought sometimes but they understood each other in a way nobody else did. Dick loved how happy and bubbly Kory was, how she lit up every room she walked into. Kory loved that Dick wasnât afraid of anything. He was so confident, tough, brave and intelligent and how he was always eager to teach her so many things about Earth, Emotional and Positive met Serious and Logical and Together, they just⊠fit. Like they filled in the parts the other was missing.
When Dick finally decided to become Nightwing, to step out from under Batmanâs shadow, Kory was there every step of the way. She believed in him when nobody else did. She encouraged him to become a better hero and a better person than Bruce ever was. That first Nightwing suit wasnât just spandex. It was him finally becoming his own man, and she was right there as his biggest cheerleader.
After a decade of dating, They got married. Twice. First on Earth, surrounded by everyone they knew: civilians, heroes, coworkers they knew. Bruce paid for the whole thing. A mountaintop wedding at sunrise with a paradise view. He even covered the honeymoon in the Bahamas. Dick tried to refuse out of pride, but Kory talked him into it. âHe just wants to be a dad,â she told him. âLike heâs giving you his blessing before finally letting you go.â Then they did it again on Tamaran, beneath its ten suns, with her parents blessing them. Blackfire, claiming she had âchanged,â showed up uninvited. Both Dick and Kory instantly tensed, slipping into superhero mode, expecting her to ruin everything. But surprisingly, she didnât. She just stood there smirking, calm as ever, basically approving because it meant she got the throne to herself while Kory went off to live happily on Earth with Dick. But jokes was on her because Ryand'r, Kory's brother was there. Two weddings. One love. It was everything.
Then Marâi came along. A little ball of chaos and joy. She had Dickâs hair, Koryâs bright green eyes with pupils, and tan skin. The perfect mix of both of them. Personality-wise too: emotional like her mom, confident like her dad. Whenever she played with Lian, Iris, and Jai, she was always the one taking charge and coming up with new game ideas. She got nominated for class president practically every year. Kory used to joke that she definitely inherited Dickâs natural-born leader DNA. The house finally felt completed.
Five years later, Jake was born. He had Dickâs hair and Koryâs eyes too, but he was different from Marâi. Quieter. Polite. Where Marâi was blunt and felt everything loudly, Jake was calmer and more reserved. And just like that, their home was filled with another phase of smelly diapers and loud but adorable crying all night long. They raised both of them with so much love. They taught them what being a hero meant and tried to protect them from all the ugly parts of the world. They were good parents Really the most loving parents. Not perfect, though. They were also ridiculously attractive and Jake and Marâi constantly got compliments from classmates asking for autographs from their parents. And Mar'i and Jake were each other's bestfriends always having each other's backs no matter what. Every day felt fun and happy.
But time never stops. Marâi grew up and left for college. Then it was just Kory, Dick, and Jake now in the house. Jake took it hard. He missed having his sister around. Sometimes heâd stare at her bedroom door, the same door he used to knock on whenever he got bullied or just needed someone to talk to. He always went to Marâi first instead of their parents. She was his protector. Like that time during one of Marâiâs exams when someone told her Jake was outside getting choked by a bully on the field. She immediately got up, walked out of the test, and sprinted outside. She found the bully lifting Jake by the neck. Without hesitation, she rushed forward and broke the kidâs arm. He wore a cast for months afterward and never bothered Jake again. Marâi got suspended. She didnât care. Or when Jake got his first pimples and cried on her shoulder about it. Jake missed all of that. Still, he smiled when Marâi promised sheâd call all the time and come home on weekends. And she did. But Marâi wouldnât be the only one leaving home.
Jake grew up too and moved out a few years later. Suddenly, it was just the two of them, just like before they had kids. The house was quiet. Too quiet. Still full of memories, though. It hurt not having them around anymore, but my, they were proud. Proud to see them grow into independent adults. Into the man and woman they always knew they could become. They spent every day together again. Sometimes theyâd joke that at least now they could have sex without needing to keep quiet so the kids wouldnât hear them, just to make themselves feel a little less sad.
A decade passed. Marâi married Damian Wayne. Dick hated it at first, of course he did, but eventually he came around. It helped that Damian hadnât grown up with Bruce and had only met him as an adult. Jake married Lian Harper. And through it all, Dick and Kory were still there. Still together. Still holding hands. They grew old. Slower. Weaker. But they still laughed. Still teased each other. Grandkids ran through the house three times a week, bringing back the same chaos Marâi and Jake once had. Dick read them bedtime stories. Kory taught them Tamaranean traditions. They took the kids out on mall trips and spoiled them the same way they once spoiled Marâi and Jake.
And then time did what it always does. They got older. Sicker. Marâi and Jake tried everything they could to keep them around longer, but thereâs a time for everything. Even for saying goodbye. And in the end, they went together. Hand in hand. Just like always, until their final breath.
A few years later, their children and grandchildren would visit their graves, right beside Mary and John Graysonâs. Theyâd cry and remember everything. And you could still see it. Dick and Koryâs story never truly ended. It lived on in Marâi and Damian. In Jake and Lian. In their grandkids. In everyone who remembered them. The Love Story of Earthâs Son and Tamaranâs Princess.
The End.

But not like this. Not this way.
Juli wasn't at the bus stop the next morning. Or the morning after that. She was at school, but you'd never know it. I told myself I should be glad about it. I mean, isn't that what I'd always wanted? But still I felt bad for her. I was gonna tell her I'm sorry, but then I thought, hey, no, that's the last thing I needed: Juli Baker thinking I missed her.

DickKory Week Day 6 - Vacation
@dickkoryweek2026
Just a normal day at the Grayson Household.
Mariâs on the floor painting her toenails. Jakeâs spread out Legos everywhere, trying to build another whole city. Dick and Kory are both cuddling in the couch watching the news.
âThen Dick remembers something he and Kory talked about awhile ago. "Hey buddies! you guys wanna go on vacation?"
â"Yes!" Jake drops a lego then runs towards his mom and dad.
â"Of course, Papa!" Marâi grins flashing her missing front teeth..
âDick scoops Jake up into his lap. Kory pats her own. "Come here, Marâi."
âMarâi puts her nail polish down and climbs up. "So," Kory says, "your dad and I decided to do something different this time."
â"How so, Mama?"
â"You two get to pick where we go this year."
â"Thatâs so cool!" Jake shouts.
âDickâs smiling. "So⊠you got any place in mind?"
âJake and Marâi look at each other at the same time. That close sibling thing. Then they both light up.
â"Yes! Weâve talked about it before. We wanna go to Mamaâs birth planet Tamaran!"
âEverything just⊠stops.
âKory and Dick both freeze. Everyone could hear the fridge humming.
âKory clears her throat. âIâm sorry, my darlings⊠but we canât go there.â She glances at Dick. "DickâŠ"
â"Why canât we?" Marâiâs voice goes small.
â"Yeah, whatâs wrong with it, Mama? You always tell us wonderful stories about your planet! The talking horses and the flying dolphins and the ten moons and a hundred suns! I wanna see it!" Jakeâs eyes are huge.
âMarâi nods fast. "Yeah! and Weâre the heirs of Tamaran! We should see our kingdom!"
âKory gives them a little laugh, before it dies quick. "There was a war," she says. Her voice trying to be steady.
âBoth Jake and Mar'i go still.
â"A long time ago before you were born⊠before I came to Earth⊠Tamaran was destroyed."
â"Destroyed⊠like gone or just a messy place now?â Jake asks. He sounds confused and like heâs trying to make the first not true.
âMarâiâs frickles started glowing "Just like what happened to Uncle Clarkâs planet?"
âDick looks at them sadly
âKoryâs eyes soften. "Yes⊠just like Krypton."
âJake looks down. "OhâŠ"
âMarâi slides off Koryâs lap real slow, like she doesnât know where sheâs supposed to be.
â"Iâm sorry, MamaâŠ" Jakeâs voice cracks and looks down. "We didnât mean to make you remember it."
âMarâiâs eyes get shiny, tears starting to show up. âWe didnât knowâŠâ
âAnd then theyâre both crying. Not loud kid crying. The quiet kind that hurts worse, because theyâre sad that they made her sad.
âKory grabs them both, pulls them in tight. "Oh no, my sweet ones⊠no, no. You didnât do anything wrong," sheâs whispering into their hair.
âDickâs right there too, one hand on Jakeâs back, the other on Marâiâs shoulder. "Hey, hey⊠itâs okay. Itâs not Mamaâs fault. Itâs not your fault either, you hear me? It's The bad guys, okay?"
âKoryâs stroking their hair. "Oh, bumgorfs⊠donât be sad. You know, sometimes bad things happen⊠but good things can still come from whatâs left."
â"Really, Mama?" Marâi whispers.
â"Yes," Kory says. âEven though I lost my home⊠I found a new one on Earth. I met its most handsome human and married him." She looks at Dick and winks.
âDick huffs a laugh.
âKory looks back at the kids, real soft. "And then we had you." She tickles Marâiâs side, then Jakeâs, and they squirm and let out these little wet giggles through the tears.
â"Youâre my family," she tells them, holding them close. "My home isnât a place anymore⊠itâs right here."
âDick and Kory both wipe at their own eyes and just hold the kids tighter.
â"Thank you, Mama⊠youâre right," Jake mumbles.
â"So even though we canât go to Tamaran," Kory says gently, âit still lives in our hearts⊠in the stories I tell you but we canât stay sad about it forever. So where do you want to go instead?"
â"Okay Mama."
âBoth Jake and Mar'i stared at each other again before speaking up again.
â"Halyâs Circus."
âDick blinks. Didnât expect that.
âJake nods. "Yeah! Itâs Papaâs childhood place."
âMarâi looks up at him. "Papa, take us there. If we canât go to Mamaâs planet, maybe we can go to where you grew up as a baby!."
âDick smiled, remembering all the bedtime stories heâd told them about his childhood in Bludhaven, the monkeys, his favorite Elephant Zitka, the trapeze, the games, the way every part of that place smelled popcorn and fireworks. How had he not thought of taking his kids there?
â"Of course," he said, and his voice was warm. "I shouldâve thought of it sooner. You two are gonna love it there."
â"Yes!!!" Jake and Mar'i both yell, and just like that the room feels lighter again.
âThen Jake pipes up. "Papa after that, we wanna visit our grandparents' graves."
âDick goes quiet.
âLike, really quiet. The air in the room feels like it changed again.
âKoryâs hand is on his arm immediately. "DickâŠ"
â"Papa?" Jakeâs face falls. "Did I say something that made you sad too?"
âDick blinks hard and forces a smile. "No, no,â he says, shaking his head. "You didnât say anything sad, buddy."
âHe runs a hand through Jakeâs hair and squeezes Mar'i"s shoulder. "I think⊠thatâs a very good thing to want,â he says. "Iâd be happy to take you to see Mom and Dad."
âIt just hits him then how their kids donât just want to go places. They want to know where they came from. Want to step into those memories.
âHe looks at Kory over their heads, and they donât have to say anything. Itâs all there. Pride. Love. That quiet, heavy gratitude that Marâi and Jake are theirs.

DickKory Week Day 5- Role Reversal
@dickkoryweek2026
Dick Grayson had always been a man of patience and bravery, always on his feet, ready to take on any challenge, literally. As an Acrobat, orphan, hero, police officer, boyfriend, husband, dad⊠he had done it all. But today, he was standing in the kitchen just in his boxers, trying to get 5-year-old Marâi and 3-year-old Jake to eat breakfast without the house turning into chaos.
â"Come on, guys, cereal doesnât need to be eaten like itâs a race," Dick said, pouring more milk into their bowls after both kids spilled theirs while attempting a speed-eating contest. Jakeâs mouth was stuffed with cereal that was falling down trying to munch it all at once, while Marâi watched him, laughing hard. He looked like a greedy little hamster, stuffing food into his pouch cheeks before knocking a spoon onto the floor.
âDick sighed and bent down to pick it up. He hadnât minded staying home at first. Kory had asked, no, begged gently if she could work while he took care of the kids. She travels all over the world as an A-list supermodel, and she suggested "doing the one making of the money" as she said because her salary as a well known supermodel was ten times higher than his as a police officer. He agreed, thinking, "I can handle this". How hard can it be?
âAfter 1 year of laundry, diaper changes, cooking, and all the house errands to himself and missing Kory while she went on modeling trips, he started to wonder if it was right for him to be a stay-at-home dad, not because he doesn't want to take care of his own kids, no, definitely not that, but because he felt like it should have been the other way arou-
âBreaking his thoughts was the sound of a knock at the door, only for it to get worse when he saw it was Mrs. Hammington, their old neighbor, she was only one of the few people who know who they are, She was always nice and friendly around Kory, but he noticed that for some reason she keep giving him a bad look whenever she caught him outside or leaving the house with Jake and Marâi to take them for a stroll or run errands. The nosy old womanâs eyes narrowed as soon as he opened the door, while Jake and Marâi ran around the living room, making a mess.
âShe probably stopped by to inform Dick about an HOA meeting coming up this week, since sheâs the president of their community.. but she's really far too nosy to stick to just that.
"Good afternoon Mr. Grayson."
"Hi, Good afternoon. What brings you here?" Dick cheerfully said.
The old woman paused, looked at him intently that made Dick uncomfortable before opening her mouth again. " Every man in my family are good providers, they take good care of their wives. My husband is retired now, but he gives me his whole pension every month."
"That's great to hear." Dick smiled. Happy for her.
â"Grayson," she said, her voice sharp. "Arenât you⊠supposed to be working out there? I don't see you having any job."
âDick froze mid-lunge, then heard Jake screaming, pretending to be a rocket, trying to slam his mini kid's car that he is now riding into the table. He caught his son just before he crashed into it. "UhâŠ" He stumbled for words.
âMrs. Hammington gave him a judgmental look. "I just donât understand. Why is your wife the only one working hard to support the family while you⊠just stay here in the house all day?"
âDickâs jaw dropped.
â"Youâre the man in this house, yet sheâs the one who has to work hard all day to make ends meet while youâre just âsitting prettyâ at home. I know youâre taking care of the kids, but this looks wrong. What do you think your parents would say to you if they were still here? You shouldn't treat a woman like that. "
â"WHAT?"
â"You heard me. Arenât you old enough to stand up and be a man? What would people think if they find out their favorite superhero, Nightwing, is a lazy husâ"
â"Stop!" Dick said, feeling heat rise to his face. Jake and Mar'i now got surprised by Dick's voice and they were watching quietly from the couch. He looked at them, "Mommyâs not struggling. Sheâs⊠sheâs happy and amazing. And..." then turned back at Mrs. Hammington. "Iâm not lazy. I⊠I just take care of the kids while she works. Thatâs my job."
âThe old woman stayed quiet, but her eyes still narrowed at him.
â"Being a stay at home dad is not embarrassing," Dick continued, finding his courage. "Itâs not a burden on Kory. Itâs what we agreed on for our kids. Kory does what sheâs best at, and I make sure our kids are safe, happy, and loved. In fact, if I wanted to, I could choose to work and hire a nanny, but with how dangerous and evil the world is, itâs hard for me to trust someone else with our kids. I donât want them being secretly hurt or in danger behind our back. So I told Kory Iâd quit being a police officer to watch and take care of them myself 24/7. Taking care of my kids, keeping them safe, and making sure they feel the love of their parents, is still a job, Maam"
âMrs. Hammington blinked, then after 10 seconds, muttered something about "modern times" and walked away.
âDick sighed with relief. Marâi climbed onto his lap and hugged him. "Daddy, youâre the best," she said. Jake handed him a crayon like it was a medal.
âDick smiled, feeling lighter. The way his kids feel so proud and happy with him was enough to keep all the doubts disappear. Seeing the kidsâ smiles made it worth it.
âLater that night, when Kory returned from a long flight, she found Dick asleep on their bed with Jake curled up on his chest and Marâi tucked under his arm. She gently kissed his forehead.
â"You did another day of great job, man of wonders." she whispered.
âDick opened one eye, realizing she was there. "Kory?"
âDick's eye lit up and he got up to kiss her deeply, showing how much he missed her through the kiss.
âWhen they parted, both breathing heavily.
â"We did,â he said. "And⊠Iâm proud of us, for what we do.. for our kids.. for our family."
âKory smiled and hugged him close. "Iâm the proud too."
âThey talked for a few more minutes about other stuff, Kory telling him how her job went this week and Dick telling him his day went and back to their arrangement.
â"Hussh now, my love. The planet Earth can say what it wants but I know the truth. Weâre a perfect team working for the best for our bumgorfsâ Kory said cheerfully. She was aware about the neighborsâ judgmental looks at Dick over the months even if Dick never told her about it, not wanting to bother her about it. Kory thought about killing all of them before ultimately shrugging it off her mind.
âDick nodded, feeling at peace. Being a stay at home dad didnât make him less of anything, it made him exactly who he was supposed to be.
