hello! just passing by - but I could please request that you avoid tagging “x reader” if the mc is an oc? as wonderful as your oc and writing are, whenever i see a fanfic with an oc but its tagged x reader im like 😞 bc I read reader-insert for escapism which is hard if the mc already has an established name and appearance. i hope i don’t come across as rude or entitled, it’s just something I’ve seen so many times now that i wonder if writers are aware that this is an issue or not. i hope you have a good day
I understand your point.
However, I personally consider /oc and /reader fics to be two sides of the same coin. I have never read a /oc fic where the oc wasn't or couldn't be, in some way, a functional proxy for the reader. I have also never read a /reader fic where the "reader" didn't develop enough detail and independent characterization to be an original character, unless maybe it was a short fluff or smut piece.
Personally, I do not find a character having a name and/or background off-putting because I like exploring different personalities as a reader. I can gloss over appearances, but I understand how it is jarring to some. I find it entirely 4th wall breaking to read "y/n"- even though TONS of fics use it- and would much rather read an actual name even if it isn't mine, but I know that not everyone is like me.
Point is, I read and like both categories. When I search for fics, I usually want to or am open to searching for both at once instead of running multiple different searches. It saves time. I am fairly confident I am not the only one.
I don't use the "x you" tag because I don't write in 2nd person and so readers know not to expect it. At least in the AO3 tags, I add something like "oc is functionally a self-insert" to give a better idea of what to expect. But, if you are a strict "y/n" type of reader, I understand how it's frustrating.
I am not sure about Tumblr (it's kind of a chaotic mess), but on AO3 you can run a search for "/reader" with the additional criteria to exclude "/OC", which should filter out undesired results for you.
That being said, this was the first ask I have ever received. Thank you! It brought up a good point that is fun to explore and was a great excuse for me to finally be able to babble about my thoughts on the matter ☺️

She ought to trim them, she thought. It would be better for the plant when it revived in the spring, but she liked looking at them the way that they were.

I thought about having the final scene be Sasuke returning home and telling Sakura that he loves her. Something like, "You know I love you, right?"
And she says, "Of course I do, silly. Why are you being so sentimental?"
And he says its nothing, but he pulls her into a tight embrace and just tells her he wants to make sure she knows.
However, I thought it broke up the flow weird and would actually be kind of distracting so that's not what happened. But i thought it would have been a sweet way to tie up an otherwise sad story.

On an Arranged Marriage with Itachi
I imagine any arranged marriage with Itachi would be the most tepid of all romances. Like, 5 years in and he FINALLY falls for you but by then you're so resigned to a marriage of celibacy that you no longer gives him any signals and he assumes there's no way you'd be interested now.
Then one day a whole other year later Itachi casually mentions to Shisui how he feels he blew his chance and wishes he could turn back time and make it turn out different it and our ultimate wing-man swoops in to save the day with a "wtf is wrong with you just GO FOR IT!"
I imagine at this time you already have a child or two, but they were conceived purely out of obligation and duty to the clan. Itachi decided he will have purely compulsory sex exactly once per month 10 days after your period until you conceive, then never again. He does not make this process unpleasant but it is devoid of anything other than the basics. Minimal kissing and foreplay just to get an erection and help you relax, then in and out and no cuddling afterword. Instead he takes a shower and sleeps on the couch.

This would have been the first and only times either of them had sex and they had no idea what the f they were doing.
And then, after like 7 years of marriage, they finally get to make beautiful love together instead of just beautiful babies.

Woe is me...
This is the first time I have had TWO consecutive days off work in MONTHS.
I planned to finally write the thing for my fic, but.....
Then I started watching Jujutsu Kaisen (which I actually hadn't seen at all before) and now I am 33 episodes deep with 0 words written.
I like to call this a nerd's champagne problem.

Headcannon that Itachi's breeding kink isn't just about putting a baby in you, but also having bred you. Like, he loves seeing you pregnant with *his* baby in you. Which makes him feel awkward in the beginning of your first pregnancy, but then he learns to embrace it.
I'm never doing this again....
I don't know why I decided to get a Masters degree, but I am NEVER doing it again. Imagine all the writing I could have gotten done if I didn't have to do all this academic work.
