it doesn't have to be Maddy/Cassie vs. Maddy/Bishop; Maddy has two hands.
Cassie/Maddy/Bishop where Bishop IMMEDIATELY clocks that Cassie is in love with Maddy, but it takes him longer to see that Maddy's feelings for Cassie are much stronger than she likes to admit. Cassie who's hesitant about having Bishop around at first, but he's got surprisingly helpful insights regarding their content house. She also appreciates that he seems to implicitly respect that they're trying to do things far more ethically than anything Alamo did.
Cassie and Bishop renovating the house together?? Bishop and Cassie developing a strange, little friendship?? I can imagine Bishop becoming fond of Cassie in the same way he's fond of his poodle. Also Cassie adores his poodle.
Both of them developing a respect for the other's relationship with Maddy. Cassie sees how quietly good he is to Maddy, over and over, without even expecting thanks or acknowledgement for it, which is so far from what either of them are used to, and realises she can't begrudge anyone who cares about Maddy even half as much as she does. Bishop learning about what happened between Maddy and Cassie, and hearing how bitter Maddy still is even if she tries not to be. He also sees how Cassie makes the effort to put Maddy first in their lives, in their business, in everything; she's naturally self-centred, and he sees how hard she works against that specifically for Maddy's sake. Bishop realising that Maddy almost resents her own feelings for Cassie, even though he knows they're sleeping together on the regular, and one day simply suggesting that maybe, after all this time, Cassie too deserves some grace, and Maddy deserves to let go of this negativity regarding a man who's no longer a part of their lives. (its the only time he references Nate directly, and is also the moment Maddy realises he's figured out Nate's dead)
Maddy getting concerned and confused by Cassie and Bishop's friendship, but Bishop is incredibly blunt about how he has absolutely no romantic or sexual interest in Cassie. This does initially hit Cassie's sense of self incredibly hard, since shes never actually had a platonic friendship with a man. Cassie realising that she wasn't actually attracted to men in her past, she just expected their attraction and enjoy the attention.
Cassie going out and partying but bringing Maddy and Bishop every time (she says its so they can be filming her for content and she can keep her hands free, but its definitely because they make her feel safer). Cassie and Bishop happily carrying Maddy's bags whenever they go out shopping. Cassie and Maddy figuring out Bishop is a fan of Westerns, and the girls organising movie nights for the three of them to watch his favourites.
Just,, Cassie and Bishop having this weird friendship that no-one else seems to understand, but it works for them.
