For the glory of Kyrgyzstan I will justify everything in a series of Concentric circles starting in Central Asia. Read on for some quality misinformation, mixed in with real information, mixed in with straight up nonsense.
Circle 1:
Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazahkstan: For those of you lacking culture, these are the actual Turkic countries. Their majority languages are all in the Turkic language family, thus making the cultures that speak them Turkic by common definition.
Circle 2:
Mongolia, Buryatia, Manchuria: Turanic theory identifies a common link in the all the people's of North Asia, but even some non-fringe theories tend to link and group the Turks with other non-linguistically related steppe cultures. Whether their language was Tatar, Mongol, or Turkic, the horse lords tend to seem identical from the outside. This conflation being accepted is essential to Turanic thought, and justifies the expansion of Turkic states into almost all of asia, as rulers of Steppe culture have controlled all of it at some point. A perhaps more known cultural conflation is Danes/Swedes/Norwegians in the 9th and 10th centuries. This correlation is definitely true and holds up under scrutiny in the same manner. Danes and Swedes are speaking the same language they just don't want us to know.
Iran/Afghanistan/Azerbaijan: The Iranian cultures are totally Turkic. Oghuz Turks ruled the whole region under the Seljuks, and Uzbek was the official government language of the region for almost a century. Sure, none of the people spoke it, but Timur and his sons did, and they were the one's who controlled the army. Iranians were in that army too, so they were Turkic by proxy.
The Parthians came from modern Uzbekistan as well. So they are honorarily Turkic from that too.
China: Every heard of the Yuan dynasty? How about the Qing? They are both Chinese dynasties with rulers from steppe culture. Get turked idiots.
Russia, Ukraine: The Golden Horde, western remnants of Genghis Khan's empire, directly ruled Ruthenia, or modern Ukraine, because it existed in no small part on the Eurasian steppe where cavalry armies were unbeatable, but the northern forests were harder to control directly. To this end, several princedoms were established as tributaries of the Golden Horde. The Rurikovichs, a native dynasty, were given the right to continue ruling in exchange for setting up governments that existed solely to deliver tribute. One of these tributaries was the Princedom of Moscovy. Eventually, when the Golden horde fragmented enough, Ivan the Terrible, prince of Muscovy, led his armies against his neighbors in every direction to form a larger, grander state he called the Tsardom of all Russia. Turks made their whole government! Turks they now are! No Tsardom of Russia without Turks!
Turkey: Delusional cosplayers.
Actual Turkish country again. In case you couldn't guess. For those unaware. The Oghuz Turks ruled the Seljuk Dynasty in the 11th century, and many of their warriors and adventurers journeyed west into Anatolia. They made a Turkish Rome (The Sultanate of Rum) that fought with the Greek Rome (The Byzantine Empire) for a long time. Modern Turkish is how that Oghuz culture evolved after centuries of coexisting with Greek Culture in various states of cooperation and hostility. The Ottomans also happened. Read a book or something.
Greece: Why else would the languages have so many loanwords!! No otehr explanatioN!! Greek culture was planted by glorious and mysterious Turkic ancestors!
Georgia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Albania, Romania: Ottoman subjects. You know how when you live in Great Britain you are British? Doesn't matter if you're Scottish or Irish, your national moniker is British now because the UK says so. Ottoman imperial logic evidently should be the same. Ottoman is a Turkic state! You are Turkic by proxy!
Armenia: Oh God. You can't say that, grandmama.
Iraq and Syria: The ottomans were a Caliphate. All of Islam was theoretically their citizens. But Grandmama has made a bold but beautiful proclamation. Only Syria and Iraq are allowed in the cool kids club. Every other Islamic country is allowed to keep their silly languages and cultures. Grandmama told me so.
Finland+Volga and Uralic Finnic groups: The first Turanic Author was Finnish! One beautiful man said in his silly Finnish words that every culture oppressed by Russia was mystically and nationally linked by the steppe. And being Turanic makes you Turkic! We've established this! Why would a Finnish man write words in a book 100 years ago if the words weren't true! It is known that Finns can't write lies. The witch-curse prevents them.
Magyarország: People are not normal about this one is general! It's bonkers! People, they come to me with their ideas. They tell me that they came off the steppe. That they are not real Europeans because they migrated there 1000 years ago. I HAVE to put down my dinner (I was trying to eat) and I firmly tell them they are not human. Their ancestor from 250,000 years ago was not, I know this for a fact. Still, they lived on the steppe and that definitely makes them Turkish. The silly Finnish man said it in his book. Anyway then I have to pick my dinner back up because, as they say in Hungary, "Enni vagy meghalni."
Italy: The Sultanate of Rum! Where is Rum? It is in Italia and they call it Roma. And YOU call it Rome! What on earth is wrong with this city's vowels! Silly fucking city, but Turks are Sultan of it nonetheless!! Sure, the Ottomans never controlled Rome, but the Byzantines didn't have it either and it never stopped them from parading about calling themself Rhomanoi, so it shall not stop me either!
Korea: Yuan Dynasty owned this too. They slapped a big old 'Turkic' on it just like in China. if you look it up on the interwebs, you can discover that the Korean Alphabet was invented in the 15th century. Before that? They do not tell anyone, but they were secretly using a Turkish Alphabet. Only I remember this because Daewang Sejong told me himself in a dream I had. Also the Korean language is called Hanguk and it's alphabet is Hangul, so what did you know anyway. Dream Sejong is much more reliable than your own silly thoughts.
Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium: SULTAN OF RUM. Is this not sinking in? When Ottomans were rulers of Rome, Austria and all the other little Germanies were in a complicated international polygamous marriage. It was called the Holy Roman Empire, and the Ottoman Sultan was ruler of Rome. These facts are both facts. And so they are Turks!!
Japan: Grandmama is very into Japanese culture! She knows all the words and Dances! After she watched a particularly moving scene in the Animated film "Ponyo" she was convinced. In all her wisdom and power she shed a tear and proclaimed words I will never forget. "Ponyo can be Turkish. It is allowed. There were mongols that drowned in her silly ocean. It was a big deal. She can suck the Turkishness out of their hollow sunken bones like she did to the kid." And so Japan is Turkish!! But only if Ponyo wants it. I bet she will though.
Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland: Adventuring pagans! They fought and settled and traded across their continent with small but competent military forces, forging kingdoms, empires, and a lasting cultural impact on regions for exceeding their homeland. Eventually, they converted to the monotheism prevalent amongst those they ruled. Definitely Turks. Why else would they do all the same things as the Turks? Just Turks with boats and cursed to never see the Sun. Gotta be the case.
ANGERLAND: Full of ANGLES, also the PICTS and GAELS. Called themselves Great Britain but they are not that Great, so I will not call them that silly name they call themself. They have a bunch of solid chippies though. Cannot take that from them. What? Oh yes, Turks. Definitely. Vikings were Turks you know, and a Viking once lived in France. Made a whole French Viking state. It had beautiful fields and a big river; it was a good deal except for a major problem. All the French people. So he conquered the ANGLES. From there they were Turkified! And also frenchified a bit, tragically.
Wales: They fucked up a spell once. They wanted to be Turkic so bad, that their greatest druid and also Tom Jones casted a spell to do it at any cost. Well, cost was being ruled by ANGLES. Spell was almost not worth it, I think.
Greenland: Grandmama was being polite I think. as she told me all about which cultures were Turkish and glorious, and which were French and similar, Grandpapa was in the room. He was Greenlandic and possessed a cruel temperament. Grandpapa began stringing together roots and suffixes very rapidly to create a powerful new word, such is the strength of the Greenlandic language. It was very intimidating. She then added Greenlandic to her list. To this day, I will never know if Grandpapa was simply more powerful than her, or if there is some mystic link between them and Turkic culture.
ANGLESphere: Angles were now Turks after their enlightenment by Vilyim the conqueror. They throw themselves to the wind like fucked up drug dealing rabbits. It's pretty wild. Lots of places speak ANGLIC these days. Scary stuff. Watch yourself out there, or your kid may start speaking ANGLIC. The other day, my son Killgore was having a pleasant conversation with someone, and when he returned he told me about "Tea" and "Hamburgers." Vile stuff.
Mexico: The Nefarious Uncle, Grandmama's only child, once attended a particularly vigorous Cinco de Mayo. It is known that during that night he participated in events so hair raising and spectacular that within the next year he was paying child support to 720 residents of Mexico city. To this day, Uncle works 415 jobs to pay for this night. He has never expressed regret to me. To this end, grandmama considers it a matter of time until the whole nation is Turkic like him.
Brazil: Grandmama once knew a man from Brazil for six months before she realized he was Brazillian. She just assumed he was Turkish. No hint of an accent she would say! Grandmama was convinced of a great conspiracy.
Spanish Central and South America: The pirate Redbeard would sneak onto the fleets bound for the Spanish Maine, and do a big switcheroo. Before anyone noticed, Turks were sailing gold vessels and Spaniards were crewing his galleys! Boy were the spaniards confused, but diligent! They would get right to their funny new pirate posts and set about the same missions, replacing the next treasure crew with themselves, and that treasure crew became pirates in turn! Redbeard was a pervert to say the least, but before anyone knew, every ship Spain ever sent was actually Turkish. WOW!
