Omg this kid doesn’t deserve 20 years in prison for protecting his own mother! This is fucking ridiculous. It was definitely a defense. He’s 13 years now, just imagine how traumatized he must be after watching his mother getting sexually abused and brutally beaten by a stranger? Like how some people believe we can become gods ourselves, like in genesis it literally says god “made us in his image and likeness.” The serpent actually tempted Eve with the idea that she can become like a god through knowledge gained from the fruit.

When they ate the fruit, they became ashamed for being naked. Aka they became self aware and conscious of their own existence. And being kicked out of the garden basically means separating from god and becoming independent beings. And then the whole rest of the bible is “god” desperately trying to regain control of humanity.

I’ve seen feminists mention how Eve being primarily targeted by the serpent could possibly mean women are more spiritually advanced or powerful than men lmao 👀 especially taking into consideration how afterwards, women were apparently punished with patriarchy. And women are treated like such shit throughout the whole bible. Like clearly whoever was writing this *really* wanted women to stay in line for some reason.

Lilith was the first human made, before Adam and Eve. Adam was made for her out of the dirt to reproduce but Lilith didn’t want to touch him because he was such an inferior being to her. So Hell was made and Lilith was cursed and sent there. Then Eve was made for Adam, but she sought out life past him and that’s why the serpent targeted her.

I read that her major problem with having sex/reproducing with Adam was bc god wanted her to be below him, like literally below him during sex and she did not accept it, the story follows to her getting out of the garden and going to live with demons and other fallen angels on the earth.

I feel like Lilith could be another version of the Goddess Mother, the worship of whom had to be dispersed for patriarchy to really rule.  

The whole tree and snake thing was actually the early Jewish patriarchs trying to get the women at the time to stop worshiping the Goddess Mother, because the tree of life and the snake were her symbols at that time, so with that story they were basically trying to say, if you worship that stuff then you can’t be part of our group, because look it’s the source of evil, you don’t wanna be evil do you?

for anyone discussing sex-selective abortion, i think its important to understand that a lot of the countries known for it (especially china) have officially banned telling the sex of the fetus (idk about others but china did it back in the eighties, when their one-child policy was still relatively recent). this has evidently not been very effective in stopping sex-selective abortions from happening - people will go to unspeakable lengths to have the sex of the fetus told, including travelling or shipping tissue samples to hong kong or taiwan. 

and i think it makes an excellent example of how legislation alone is esentially useless, especially in the case of female liberation, without a widespread cultural change behind it. fetus sex determination and sex-selective abortion are illegal but doctors and parents still do it, because you can’t change centuries of societally acepted subordination of the female sex.
