Far Cry 5 Scenery 127/???
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia + Memes
Took it out while cleaning the room - canāt believe itās been nearly 6 years still I got it. Still one of my favourite things I ever had ā„ļø
Looking for āoldā Far Cry 5 fan art reminded me that thereās a drawing Iām sure I saw here a few years ago but that I havenāt been able to find again...
Do you remember an image of John Seed looking exhausted/fed up and drinking directly from a coffee pot? It wasnāt a very complex drawing or a full-body shot, I donāt think there was a background, but I believe it was in color. It was also probably not the only doodle in the image/post.
Please, does anymore know what Iām talking about, who drew it, have a link, or even the picture itself? š„²
Happy 6th Anniversary, Far Cry 5! Still follow our Father!!
Even after all these years, I still love this fandom with all my heartā¤
Is anyone out there in the Far Cry 5 fandom who can extract models and textures from the game ? I am looking to get a reference of a certain character from the game, mostly because of his tattoos (it's not the Seeds) and also because I am just darn curious. Any help would be super appreciated :3 feel free to pm me!

Part 10: Joseph Seed
Recovered content
At first (archive from July 13th, 2017), Joseph didnāt have a description on the American website. He was just called The Father.
THE FATHER JOSEPH SEED Check back soon to learn more about The Father.
On or before February 9th, 2018, the website changed and more information was added about him:
FATHER Joseph has been spoken to by God who has tasked him with saving as many souls as he can from the end of the world. But rather than choosing to harvest these souls through peace, The Father chose the most vicious forms of manipulation possible. Backed by his siblings, The Heralds, and an army of fanatics, The Father is quickly cultivating lost souls and preparing them for The Collapse. And leaving a lot of blood and bodies in his wake.
The video was the Story Trailer:
Further down on the page, there was another information box dedicated to Joseph:
LEADER OF THE PROJECT AT EDENāS GATE JOSEPH SEED Joseph came from a small town in the deep south of Georgia.Ā His life was listless until one morning when he heard a Voice whisper to him, telling him that the world was headed for a Great Collapse. The voice gave Joseph a single directive: āSave as many as you can. Whether they wish to be saved or not.ā Joseph welcomed the poor, the disenfranchised, the wayward souls who had been left behind by society and formed The Project at Edenās Gate and after a time, migrated from the south to Hope County to create their āNew Edenā. Joseph is driven only by The Voice and the knowledge that he alone is humanityās savior.
Finally, on or before March 27th, 2018, a trailer about him was added.
Here is the video in question:
The page existed at least until February 7th, 2020.
On the European website, there was no description or biography, only a quote: āI am your Father. And you are my Children.ā
Commentary
We saw (in previous posts) that the Father used to be described as a āmaniacal leaderā who was āmerciless and manipulativeā in 2017. In 2018, the Voice, Its message, and Josephās commitment to It were finally mentioned, turning the predator who would terrorize and abuse everyone he apparently was in an early version of the story into the character he became in Far Cry 5: a man who believes he is on a mission and will stop at nothing to accomplish it. That doesnāt change or excuse the fact that Edenās Gateās methods are more than questionable, and the website still rightly says the harvesting of souls (so the Reaping) is a āviciousā, bloody, and not at all peaceful process, but at least their motivations are now clearly explained. In my opinion, aside from making him more human, mentioning his absolute certainty that he is on the right path also makes him seem even more dangerous as an antagonist. Over time, Joseph became a more compelling character, and I like that the archives of the website highlight this evolution.
Under the cut are all the available source files, saved directly from the website, of the images you see in the screenshots:

⦠The Subtle Design of Joseph Seed ā¦
ā¢ā¢ā¢
ā¢ā¢ā¢
Iāve been playing Far Cry 5 since 2019, I love this game and can honestly recite half of the dialogue by memory at this point⦠but how is it that I never clocked a specific design choice of Josephās?
Specifically that he wears an inverted version of a Priestās Collar and Shirt?
ā¢ā¢ā¢
ā¢ā¢ā¢
Visually it serves as a way to distinguish himself from Catholic priests, as we know The Project at Edenās Gate doesnāt follow a distinct religion - itās simply grasping at different areas of Abrahamic faiths - so I doubt heād want to seem like an āordinaryā Clergy member.
It also separates The Project and Joseph from the only other Clergyman in the game, Pastor Jerome Jeffries. Joseph is the clear visual, spiritual and physical opposite of Jerome - which further distances Edenās Gate from the usual Christian-based religious narrative and teachings.
It sets up a narrative of A Father vs The Father, Clergyman vs Prophet and itās done through subtle design differences and obvious religious differences.
ā¢ā¢ā¢
[This part may be a stretch, but stick it out!]
You can also make the connection that Joseph wearing an inverted version of a Catholic garment is a visual representation of corruption in the church.
The white collar, specifically the white part is most likely linked to purity and how a Priest is one of Godās holiest followers.
An inversion of that, to have the collar suddenly turn to black, could represent corruption and sin.
The white collar hidden in a black shirt could represent purity shining through the cloak of shadow and sin, something that almost everyone houses inside of them.
Whereas a black collar hidden in a white shirt could represent sin being cloaked and shielded behind the guise of purity, luring wayward souls into believing their sins will be cleansed - when in reality theyāre simply being hidden behind a superficial mask of purity.
ā¢ā¢ā¢
[Iāve probably given Ubisoft a little too much credit here, but this analysis wouldnāt leave my head - so Iām burdening you with it!
Enjoy my reawakened Far Cry 5 hyperfixation and coffee-fuelled design theory!]
