Kite Flying

This is a nice little change for the average beach day. Being out by the ocean is romantic enough but how about adding a more playful factor to the date by adding kite flying. It'd be cuter to actually make the kite together beforehand. Seeing your creation fly will be really fun for the two of you.

Bike Riding

The Spring weather is finally here and what better way to take advantage of it than by taking a nice bike ride together. Regardless if you choose to ride in your local area or if you choose to get out to take a more scenic route, the activity is both enjoyable and healthy. (Plus its a good way to save gas!)

Easter Egg Hunt

Now that Easter is around the corner, this will e cute for a sunny day. It could be planned together or set up as a surprise for your loved one. The point is to get outside out and reconnect with your inner child. It is playful and very appropriate for this time of year. Also, the two could paint or fill the eggs before the hunt which could add to the fun.

Another neat turn for this is that the two could prepare eggs and help set up an easter egg hunt for children in the community. This could be done if one of you two are somehow affiliated with the community, recs., church, or other local organizations or even host it for family and friends.

Garden Walks

There are many beautiful gardens in the area and are rarely used because there is never much hype about them. My last time there was so meditating yet fun. It is nice for a date where you want to be relaxed yet still feel like the excitement of getting out. The hours vary at every garden yet are usually open throughout the day including weekends. 

Its a nice place for a quiet picnic or a nice picture shoot if you two are into photography. If neither seem appealing to you, it is also a very good place to take a nice, calm walk. PLUS, the ADMISSION is FREE.

Baseball games

Whether it rains or shines, baseball has always been an american favorite. How about enjoying it with a special cutie?(;

Most baseball games have a wide variety range for prices depending on seats and dates/events. For the average day, tickets may be as low as $11. With opening day coming up, it is the perfect time to begin feeling the hype. This date is perfect for those who have an athletic side.Also, games are on most days which makes it easier for those who may only go on weekdays or solely on weekends

To make it more interesting, you two may also choose a game where your favorite (opposing) teams play each other (Ex. Dodgers vs. Angels)

Horse races at the Santa Anita Racetrack

Horse racing has been around for years and is the perfect date for a sunny day. The price is so convenient at only $5 per person ($8.50 if you want club house seats) and $4 per car. The price is only for admission which means you can stay for as many races as you would like. They usually run for 5-6 hours a day and every race usually has exciting stuff happening within the inner field such as concerts or food trucks fairs.

Get to know your area

This is a perfect date for couples who are long distance or who recently moved into a new area. Not only does it give you a chance to adventure into the "unknown" but it gives you a feel for other date ideas. Recently my boyfriend and I took a day and got to see what Santa Barbara has to offer. I live in Orange County so everything was new to me. I learned that there is so much history and nature that the small city has to offer. On an earlier date I had done the same with my school,which was what had given me the idea.

Santa Barbara:

There are MANY great hiking and camping locations up there

The beaches is a great spot to hang out and cool down

Only a small drive from LA

Many dollar movie theaters in the area

Drive-in if your into the classy, vintage type dates

The parking lot is open and free at Disneyland during the fireworks show and is an AMAZING view!
