MAKEUP GEEK EYESHADOW REVIEW

hmm.. where do I start with these eyeshadows. They are cruelty free, highly pigmented, and blend like a dream, oh and did I mention super affordable. At just $5.99 a pan u could fill up a Z- palette for under $200!! which is all you would need if your a starting MUA or just looking to refresh your kit. Malena, who is the genius behind this line came up with a wide range of colors to suit every look. My absolute favorites that I use daily are her neutrals in the colors peach smoothie, frappe, cocoa bear, and creme brulee. These are my base shadows that I apply before adding any other color to my eyes depending on the look im going for. If you have seen my instagram 15 second video tutorials AKA VIDtorial lol I always start off with a base of these colors before I do anything else. What this does is it gives you guidelines in where to apply your shadows, so you dont go to high or too low. It also adds beautiful dimension to any look at the same time making your look seamless. I wanted to share this with you because its been my obsession for quite sometime now and the more I order the more I fall in love with them. Since many of you ask what my favorite eyeliner is here are two of my faves and the different reasons I love them :)

Bobbi brown Vs. Inglot gel liner . let me start by saying these two products are always necessary in my kit, so let me tell you the different uses for them. (failed to mention, both are in the color black) . I love the bobbi brown for when I’m doing a black smoky eye because I use it all over the lid and it texture allows me to blend it right into a smoky eye leaving me only to push some black shadow over it to seal. Versus the inglot. Although this is the blackest black gel liner I have ever used! I still find it difficult to blend! This liner I loveeee to use mainly In the waterline! because IT WILL NOT MOVE, I’m serious it doesn’t move the whole night even when you cry during those emotional weddings. Just try putting it on your hand, its the worst thing to scrub off, after each client thats my worst battle. I also love inglot for going over my eyeliner because again it will hold it in place for a long time and make the liner black as possible. So overall both great gel liners but I have my preference of their uses.

Lets talk concealers! when Im searching for a good concealer the main thing im looking to find is 1) good coverage and 2) NO creasing. Ugh i hate when its a good coverage concealer but it easily creases. Anywhoo, My two faves right now are Estee lauder double wear and MAC pro longwear. They are similar coverage and both long wear. I love estee because it has a easy to use wand applicator so i just put it on everywhere on my face that needs highlighting and coverage, its great coverage for under the eye area because it covers and brightens. it does dry really fast so you have to work it in your skin really well before it starts setting on its own (fingers and beauty blenders works great) . The MAC one works the same way, long lasting, great coverage, and sets on its own so work with it rather fast. depending the skin type I almost dont need to set these concealers with powders! which is a big plus saving me time in between clients. All in all they are both worth a try, but beware of getting addicted ! :)

Silver and purple look. Silver is the color "vogue" by @motivescosmetics very intense loose silver color use code (Mariannafree) when ordering. Tip of the day : after cleaning your brushes keep them elevated down so the water doesn't go down the inside of the brush loosen glue and ultimately damaging it. 😉 my brushes are @hairandmakeupaddiction @maccosmetics @sigmabeauty @rccosmetics @motivescosmetics and a bunch more. Soft gold shadow with nude/peach lips. Here are the products used 1⃣ #maccosmetics saddle on crease 2⃣ darken the crease with embark by Mac 3⃣ darken it some more with typographic by Mac 4⃣ apply painterly paint pot on the lid only 5⃣ then pat @makeupforeverofficial star powder in the lid and intensify the gold 6⃣ with @motivescosmetics mineral shadow in "Elle" (use code Mariannafree when ordering ) 7⃣ apply NYC liquid liner 8⃣ too lashes are pixie luxe by @houseoflashes and lower lashes are no name #104 9⃣ lips I used @motivescosmetics coral kiss liner with @limecrimemakeup coquette and cosmopop mixed together. My Halloween costume from @anastasiabeverlyhills Halloween party. If you want to get the look, u can! I made everything myself 🍃🌿🍀 1⃣ I sprayed green spray from the Halloween store over a black corset and black skirt that I already had in my closet. 2⃣ Then I bought different kind of leaves from micheals and added gold and green glitter on it from @eyekandycosmetics with lash glue 3⃣ I cut up the leaves for my eye shape and stuck it on my face with lash glue (be careful with the brows it's hard to get it off) 4⃣ Then I got my hair done with @hairbysuziet also wore extensions for this look by @eyefordesignhair 5⃣ Then I sprayed my hair hair with red hair spray from the Halloween store 6⃣ For my make up I used @limecrimemakeup jade-o-lade green to contour and shade my eyes and face added red velvet lipstick and some red glitter over it. Lashes are noir fairy by @houseoflashes And voila ! Ur #poisonivy 💚 tag me if u recreate
