Yes, his name is Bear. on the rez there will always be a Bear or a [La / Da]Kota. ALWAYS. He grew up on the Bearskin Lake reservation with his mom, dad, and brother. When he was 20, Bear’s family moved to Thunder Bay for his dad’s job. i’ll come up with a full bio later but here are some bullet points;
BULLET POINT BIO
Bear is actually really quiet and rather shy until he is comfortable with someone. He doesn’t mean to come off as cold. Once he’s comfy with someone Bear attaches to them in an almost codependent sort of way. In that way, he has unhealthy relationship boundaries. He is prone to collecting items, ideas, knowledge and even people that he deems useful to him.
Being alone terrifies Bear in every way. Emotionally, physically, mentally. So he does his best to avoid this in every single way he can. Bear is always with people or always at someone’s house. In the rare occasion that he is alone, Bear always has a TV on or is playing music. Something to completely make it seem like he’s not by himself.
Bear is extremely judgemental holding himself to EXTREMELY high standards, and that mentality sometimes leaks over to his friends.
Bear’s close friends have often said there’s two different Bear. There’s the personable one who can be charming, intelligent, and friendly. Then there’s the withdrawn, quiet, manic, eccentric, and sad Bear at home. He often feels like he needs to make a difference in the world somehow despite letting his temper get the best of him at times.
