“Wherever you are, and whatever you do, be in love.”
— Rumi
Jerry Maguire (1996) dir. Cameron Crowe is such a comfort film

“so for now peace love and misdemeanors, cause i plan on being out of step for awhile my dear”
— F.T. Willz, from my head to my middle finger, i really think i like you

“We have a whole new year ahead of us - and wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could all be a little more gentle with each other - and a little more loving - have a little more empathy - and maybe next year at this time we’d like each other a little bit more.”
— Judy Garland, The Judy Garland Show, originally aired by CBS on January 12th, 1964.
i love when poetry does that (makes every moment of my life stack on top of one another and sit on my heart until i am sure every cell in my body remembers it is alive again)
i believe in the inherent goodness of people
humanity named kindness it must know kindness
My dad was dealing with some mixed feelings so I told him "In therapy when something is too complicated to do a simple 'pro and contra list' we sometimes do an excercise where you imagine all these mixed feelings around a table in some kind of conference, letting each tell their bit and you leading the debate."
and my dad didn't really respond and just stared ahead so I kept preparing lunch. Until a few minutes later when he suddenly piped up: "I am having a bad time at the conference"
Sorry pardon me excuse me “LOOSE IN?!??“
“You just have to surround yourself with the things that make you grateful to be alive.”
— Juansen Dizon
“You can say anything and I will not abandon you.”
i think music is often attached to the body and maybe that's why we will never know exactly how someone else feels about a piece of music. like i feel some songs so deeply in my gut or so tightly in my chest or so dizzyingly in my head, that someone else will never understand that. because the feeling is tied to my physicality. so maybe that's why music is so personal. because it is physically bound.
