Laurel’s eyes darted swiftly across the shop, trying to locate  the herbs need for her spell. “Yes, actually. Do you have any  bay leaves, need them for a small divination spell.” Everyday  in the Quarter introduced a new danger, and she was determined to be prepared.

“Have you ever thought that all of this is a little morbid? I mean, selling people tours of a cemetery just seems wrong, you know? The dead should be allowed to rest…” Mike placed his hand on one of the tombs. “And yet… I can’t keep coming back here. I don’t know why but, somehow, this place feels just as alive as the rest of the town, y’know?” He paused as he looked at the girl. “Oh, wait. Shit. You’re not part of the tour, are you?”

Laurel rapidly wiped the tears from he face, embarrassed to be seen in this state. “ No shit Sherlock. God, what is with you tourist. Are you seriously so stupid that you can’t tell the difference between some lost idiot roaming around the cemetery and someone trying to grieve in piece. ” She quickly realized that her reaction may have been a bit over the top, but she couldn’t help feeling angry that she had been interrupted at the grave of her parents.
