Be sure of what your mission is. Always be alert. Know your surroundings. Keep your weapon ready at all times. Stiles knew his instructions and he was ready for whatever came his way. Or at least he thought he was. Sam and Dean had sent him to Beacon Hills, confident that he’d be able to handle this case on his own, and he was sure of himself too, sure he was experienced to handle a case all by himself. And in case he wasn’t, the Argent’s were a resource he could tap into if need be.

He’d decided to go introduce himself after he’d checked out the crime scene, something off about the way things had been left there. Stiles didn’t want to jump to any conclusions just yet, so he thought he might go ask Chris Argent to come take a look with him, get a more experienced set of eyes to look at the scene. No cars in the driveway but there was a light on upstairs, causing Stiles to pause as he got out of his car, pulling his gun from it’s holster and turning off the safety, creeping around the back of the house, glancing in a window and seeing a figure moving in the living room.

“Son of a bitch...” He sighed, leaned up against the wall, reading himself to bust the door down and take down the intruder.
