Something that I always found fascinating about dm fans is how strongly they are lying to themselves. You can see the way they are willingly ignoring canon events in the show to insert their non explicable headcanons. I mean, they also do that with the books, so that tracks. In the books, Daniel was never the love of Armand's life. Daniel was one of his cherished lovers, but not the one he loved the most. If we go by the text of the last book, the 3 people Armand loved the most are Lestat, Marius, and Louis. With Lestat being the one he loved the most among the 3. Armand never uttered the name of Daniel when he spoke about the people he loved the most. He never thought of him. And it is hard for dm fans to face this truth, so they made a scenario in their head for their delusion to make sense. That's why most of them will tell you that the reason Daniel wasn't mentioned is because Armand loves him so much that it was never in question. Or that AR forgot about him, which is irrelevant. Because even if you entertain this, it also means that AR forgot about Daniel because she knew from the perspective of Armand that Daniel wasn't that important, hence why Armand didn't list his name his most beloved lovers. What is relevant is what is in the page, and the page is saying that Armand loved 3 people more than Daniel (I'm talking romantic love that's why I have not mentioned Armand's children, which I consider are under another category of love: unconditional love).

I don't understand the insistence that IWTV is an ensemble show because it really isn't? Jacob and Sam are repeatedly referred to as the co-leads of the show and they have top billing. Louis and Lestat are the titular vampires of Interview with the Vampire and The Vampire Lestat and the story clearly focuses more on them than anyone else. True ensembles are rare, especially among dramas, and having fleshed out supporting characters doesn't make something an ensemble. And that isn't an insult to the rest of the cast - supporting characters are extremely important! I just think that if you're expecting equal screen time and focus for every character you'll be disappointed.

Am I the only one that gets bored of Aaron constantly saying “right we’re done, get out of my life” etc etc. Pretty much every time something goes wrong between them. It’s such an extreme and so final. And then literally just forgets that until the next time. If Robert does what he’s asked and backs away, Aaron can’t stand it and tries to get him back. He’s a grown man and I just feel he should stop being so childish and deal with it differently sometimes. Don’t get wrong Roberts not an Angel (especially right now with the lying) but constantly rejecting and threatening they’re done for life and he never wants to see Robert again every time. Just gets on my nerves.
