“You know, at this point if that was true I wouldn’t even be surprised.”

“I think it’s on purpose anymore.”

“You know, at this point, I really wouldn’t be surprised.”

“Coffee is still shit here, huh?”

“Yeah, I will. Anything else I should look out for?”

“No need to thank me. I was only complimenting a woman who is clearly out of my league.”

“I’m also twice your age, you probably don’t want me in your league.”

“You should it will change everything you think about steak.”

“That’s a tall order with me,” Malia laughed, shrugging. “But I’ll check it out, anyway.”

“I’m certain that it’s more true than you think.”

“If you say so.” Malia laughed, “thanks.”

“There’s a new place near the bank that’s pretty good.”

“Oh yeah, I think I passed it when I got home a couple months ago. I’ll have to check it out.”

“Honestly most of the time I’m not too picky either.”

“Any new places around here that are any good? I’ve gotta start making rounds soon.”

“Now that’s a shame. Although people are probably too distracted by how hot you are that they can’t pay attention to where they’re going.”

“I’m not sure that’s it but I’ll take the compliment.”

“I think I could go for some steak right now.”

“I can always go for steak. Or just about anything else, I’m not very picky.”

Gabriel hadn’t been paying attention to where he was going as he nearly ran into a woman, “I’m so sorry!” He quickly explained.

“Nah, don’t worry about it.” Malia shrugged, stepping out of the way. “It happens more than you’d think.”
