“Yes…you have the ability to upload your memory to a computer, yes?” The King asks, getting straight to the point.

Ruby nods, “Yes I do, sire,” She said, “My memory can be easily accessed, do you need me to upload it?”

“Yes, all of it.” He demands. “If you do not upload all of it, I will send you back to Cyberlife. And…you don’t want that, do you?”

Ruby bristles a little before moving to the computer, “Of course, Sire. I understand,” The skin on Ruby’s hand disappears and she places it on the computer, there’s a loading screen for a few moments before her memory starts to upload.

The Mad King sits back, watching and keeping an eye out for important details relating to why she’s here.

Sometimes, this has happened, an android will be sent to someone with a directive they don't know about. That was the case with an android named Connor, you might want to probe Ruby's memory, just to be sure.

The Mad King stood in his lab, putting more research into the condition he infected himself with. Making sure it’s not killing him, making sure it’s not spreading…the normal stuff. He was focused entirely on his work until footsteps clicked against the floor.

Ruby enters the lab, she bows, “My King, you have a guest,” she moves to the side to reveal The Corepirate, who smiles,

“It’s great to me old shipmate again,” he bows mockingly, “My lord,”

The Mad King puts his things down, a bit wary of his old partner in crime. But he fakes a smile regardless.

“Ah, good afternoon,” He greets. “To what do I owe this pleasure?”

The Corepirate smiles, “Just wanted to see what yarr doing,” he stars picking a few things up and looking at them, “Yee been busy,“

He puts down the last thing he picked up, he looks at Mad King, “Yee changed,” he notes “Something bad,” he then gestures to Ruby, who is standing a little away with her hands folded, “Who’s this?”

“She’s no one,” he says, keeping an eye on the Corpirate. “Just a lost little robot. Is there something you need from me or can I go back to my work?”

“A robot?” The Corepirate scoffs, “This IS something yee can do for me,” The Corepirate starts to pull something from his coat, he whips around, in his hand is the red jewl,“Die,” he fires a lazer at the Mad King.

The Mad King doesn’t even flinch at the sudden attack, and he immediately teleports as soon as Corpirate takes the shot. The attack from the lazer hits one of the metal walls, leaving a nasty burn mark. He clicks his tongue in disappointment.

“Now, you can’t still be upset about our old plan not working, that was ages ago. Although…you were under the effects of Vav’s slow mo for a while, haven’t you.”

Corepirate frowns, “It’s not that, lass,” he says, “Someone has offered me a deal, one I couldn’t refuse!” He fires again.

While this is happening, Ruby jerks a little and starts to move, her intention is to protect/aid the Mad King.

Mad King teleports again, and notices Ruby planning on interfering.

“Ruby, I don’t need your help, you stay put!” He commands, and throws his crown at the Corpirate.

Ruby freezes, folding her hand behind her back as she waits.

The Corepirate grunts as the crown hits his face, creating a gash on his jaw, he fires again, but misses andinstead hits on of the Mad King’s inventions.

The equipment explodes and starts a fire, and shortly after the fire alarm goes off as well as the sprinklers. The moment water starts raining down on everyone, the Mad King yells in pain. It feels like he’s being burned alive, and it only gets worse as more water falls on him.

The Corepirate laughs loudly, “You’re weak to water!” He cries, he blasts the Mad King and then grabs a bucket and fills it with water. He then splashs The Mad King, laughing.

The Mad King is starting to feel his consciousness fade. Black creeps in from the corners of his vision as his body desperately wants to give in. His crown lay a few inches away, barely out of his grasp. He can’t even pull it into his grasp, and he’s forced to crawl towards it.

As Ruby watches he Mad King struggle, her LED starts to glow yellow.

This isn’t fair

Ruby watches The Corepirate kick the Mad King’s crown away, laughing.

He needs help

Ruby’s LED turns red as she watchs Corepirate dump more water on Mad King.

He is going to die

Suddenly, a red wall of code appears in front of Ruby, with the words ‘Don’t Interfere’ written on it. Ruby watchs as a version of herself starts pounding the wall with clenched fists. The wall cracks then, after a few hits, shatters. Ruby is suddenly aware of what’s happening, she blinks and looks at her own hands.

Protect the Mad King

Ruby springs into action, grabbing a sharp piece of metal and hurling it at Corepirate, “Get away from him!!!”

“What?!” Taken by surprise by the sudden attack from the android, the Corpirate takes the hit head on, and falls back. He groans in pain, but he’s not done yet. “Didn’t ye hear yer master? Ye shouldn’t have interfered!” He aims at Ruby and fires.

The Mad King only lays on the wet floor, watching Ruby as she steps up to protect him.

Ruby pulls out a gun and fires at Corepirate, she dodges his blast and runs over, kneeing him in the groin before hitting him on the head with the her gun, “My programing tells me to protect him,” she glances at Mad King, “No matter what he says,” She points the gun at Corepirate’s head, “Stay down,”

Groaning in pain, the Corpirate rolls slowly onto his side, and drops his weapon. “Alright, alright, ye win…”

Ruby turns and runs over to The Mad King, trying to help him too his feet, her LED flashes and the sprinklers turn off, “My King, are you alright?”

He’s incredibly weak, and on the verge of passing out. His body is screaming at him to get out of the wet lab and put dry clothes on, and he’s incredibly hot to the touch. He just…wants to close his eyes…

Ruby shakes him gently, “Come on, my lord. We need to get you out of here,” she drops her gun to grab The Mad King’s crown, she gently tires to pull him up, “My king, please!”

There’s no way the Mad king is able to put effort into standing. Unless if Ruby has the strength to pick him up off the ground completely, he’s dead weight. “Just leave me here,” he coughs out.

“No!” she cries, “I’m not leaving you here! Not a chance!” Ruby moves and slings one of Mad King’s arms over her shoulder, she warms her body up in an attempt to get him dry, she pulls him too his feet, having him lean on her, “Come on, sire,” she grunts, “Let’s get out of here,”

The king takes note of her sudden change in attitude, as well as right out refusing his commands. He’d comment on it if he weren’t on the verge of death.

“Where are you taking me then?” He asks.

“A safe house that’s very close to here,” Ruby says dragging him along, “It has a lab that’s very close to your own. They have something that should be able to help you. There’s going to be no one there, it’ll just be us. Come on let’s get out of here,”

Watching the duo hobble away, their backs to him, the Corpirate grabs his weapon again and fires at Ruby.

It hits her square in the back, blue blood stains her clothes as she cries out and they both drop to the floor, blue bloods also leaking from her mouth, “Sire, run!” she cries pushing The Mad King aaway, she gets up and charges Corepirate.

This time the Corpirate is prepared, and hits Ruby across the face with his weapon before shooting her again.

The Mad King lays on his side where he landed, watching all of this going on.

Ruby grunts, Corepirat’s leaving a gash on her face, the blast hits her right in the chest and she drops, “My King! Go, please!” she tries to kick the Corepirate’s feet out from under him.

Grunting in pain, the Mad King gets to his hands and knees, and then stands on shaking legs. The Corpirate goes down, but still keeps a grip on his weapon and once again raises it, aiming at Ruby’s head.

But the blast never comes. With a loud clang, the weapon is dropped from the impact of Mad king throwing his crown. In the blink of an eye, the Corpirate is held up by his neck by a very angry king. The pirate grabs his arm, trying to pry the clawed hand off as he begins to choke.

Ruby watchs for little before she collapses, she enters the andoid equivalent of being unconcious; low power mode.

The Corepirate kicks at the Mad King. Still clawing at the Mad King’s hand, “Why?” he asked, “’Why save thee robot?”

“Well, for starters, if I didn’t, you would have killed me,” he grips his neck harder. Clearly if he’s talking, he’s getting air. “And I’ve already died once; I don’t plan on dying again so soon.”

The pirate choaks again, eyes bugling out of his head, he makes one last attempt to free himself before his face turns blue and he goes limp.

Ruby is lying on the floor, eyes closed, leaking blue blood. Her chest, back and face are damaged and the Corepirate’s cut also damaged her left eye.

The Mad King drops the Corpirate onto the ground. He wants nothing more than to pass out somewhere dry, but he can’t. Not yet anyways.

He picks up Ruby before limping over to a work station. Everything’s drenched, and he’ll be lucky if everything still works. Not to mention, he doesn’t know shit about this android. He gets to work repairing her regardless, starting with her chest. Hopefully he can get her powered up to help.

Ruby powers up with a gasp, coughing as blue blood stains her lips, “My king?” she asks, trying to sit up, “What happened?”

He stops her from sitting up. “We both had the shit beaten out of us,” he says, dropping his usual regal language. “And I haven’t the slightest clue how to repair you…” the king admits. The tools in his grasp are shaking, his arms just begging him to stop and rest.

Ruby groans, she quickly scans herself, checking for damage. “Okay, I can’t fix myself but I can tell you how,” she says, “My chest and back are burned, but all you have to do is seal the cuts and take off the charred skin, then do basic repairs,” Ruby then growls and picks at her eye, “Hang on I gotta,” she pulls her eye out, the skin around the socket deactivates revealing the white, pale plastic underneath, “I need a new eye,” she said, “This one is damaged too badly,”

“Contrary to popular belief, I don’t have eyeballs lying around, so you’re on your own with that,” he says, grabbing materials to repair her back as quickly as he can. He’s still sitting in wet clothes, mind you, and water feels like lava to this man right now. He takes a couple breaks in between repairs, needing to force himself to fight against the pain.

Ruby noticed this so as soon as she reparied enough to stand she stops him, “I can do the rest myself, sire,” Weird, she still calls him sire, “I’ll order myself a new eye from CyberLife,” she said, “But first let me help you,” she gets up and takes the Mad King’s arm, “Where can I take you, is there somewhere you need to go?”

He leans against her, his legs still burning. “….” The king normally doesn’t leave early, if anything he sometimes ends up spending the night in the lab but…

“Take me home…”

“Of course sire,” Ruby (I assume Mk has a car) quickly takes the Mad King’s car and takes him home, she helps him to the front door and quickly unlocks it, she drags him inside, “Is there a certain place you need to go or should I just help you to bed?”

“I’m going to dry off…and I can do that alone,” the Mad King says, gripping furniture to drag himself to his room. Tiny and Snowball quickly run in after, jumping on his bed.

Ruby just sits in a chair and waits for him. Even though she’s no longer a machine, she wants to serve and help the Mad King. She zones out a little, thinking about what to do next, dry off the lab was the number one thing, buy herself a new eye, change her clothing. She rubs her face, she’ll ask Mad King when he comes back.

It takes some time, but eventually he walks out completely dried off. Still sore though, so he walks to the kitchen to grab some painkillers. On the way, he notices Ruby is still here.

“Why are you still here?”

“My programming tells me to protect you, I can’t leave you alone, not after that,” Ruby get up, “I was gifted to you,” she admits, “CyberLife built me just for you,” she shakes her head, “I don’t know why,” She looks determined, “But I do know that I have to sick by side until the very end,” Ruby smiles, “It may mean nothing to you but I am Ruby, RK-900 and the Mad King’s personal android, I’ll do everything in my power to serve you,” she bows, “My King,”

The Mad King isn't a fan of strangers sending him high tech equipment for unknown reasons. It's.... incredibly suspicious.

Ruby is lying on the floor, eyes closed, leaking blue blood. Her chest, back and face are damaged and the Corepirate’s cut also damaged her left eye.

The Mad King drops the Corpirate onto the ground. He wants nothing more than to pass out somewhere dry, but he can’t. Not yet anyways.

Ruby powers up with a gasp, coughing as blue blood stains her lips, “My king?” she asks, trying to sit up, “What happened?”

He leans against her, his legs still burning. “....” The king normally doesn’t leave early, if anything he sometimes ends up spending the night in the lab but...

“Take me home...”

Ruby enters the lab, she bows, “My King, you have a guest,” she moves to the side to reveal The Corepirate, who smiles,

“It’s great to me old shipmate again,” he bows mockingly, “My lord,”

The Mad King puts his things down, a bit wary of his old partner in crime. But he fakes a smile regardless.

“Ah, good afternoon,” He greets. “To what do I owe this pleasure?”

The Corepirate smiles, “Just wanted to see what yarr doing,” he stars picking a few things up and looking at them, “Yee been busy,“

“She’s no one,” he says, keeping an eye on the Corpirate. “Just a lost little robot. Is there something you need from me or can I go back to my work?”

“Now, you can’t still be upset about our old plan not working, that was ages ago. Although…you were under the effects of Vav’s slow mo for a while, haven’t you.”

Corepirate frowns, “It’s not that, lass,” he says, “Someone has offered me a deal, one I couldn’t refuse!” He fires again.

While this is happening, Ruby jerks a little and starts to move, her intention is to protect/aid the Mad King.

Mad King teleports again, and notices Ruby planning on interfering.

“Ruby, I don’t need your help, you stay put!” He commands, and throws his crown at the Corpirate.

Ruby freezes, folding her hand behind her back as she waits.

The Corepirate grunts as the crown hits his face, creating a gash on his jaw, he fires again, but misses andinstead hits on of the Mad King’s inventions.

The Corepirate laughs loudly, “You’re weak to water!” He cries, he blasts the Mad King and then grabs a bucket and fills it with water. He then splashs The Mad King, laughing.

As Ruby watches he Mad King struggle, her LED starts to glow yellow.

This isn’t fair

Ruby watches The Corepirate kick the Mad King’s crown away, laughing.

He needs help

Ruby’s LED turns red as she watchs Corepirate dump more water on Mad King.

He is going to die

Protect the Mad King

Ruby springs into action, grabbing a sharp piece of metal and hurling it at Corepirate, “Get away from him!!!”

The Mad King only lays on the wet floor, watching Ruby as she steps up to protect him.

Groaning in pain, the Corpirate rolls slowly onto his side, and drops his weapon. “Alright, alright, ye win…”

Ruby turns and runs over to The Mad King, trying to help him too his feet, her LED flashes and the sprinklers turn off, “My King, are you alright?”

Ruby shakes him gently, “Come on, my lord. We need to get you out of here,” she drops her gun to grab The Mad King’s crown, she gently tires to pull him up, “My king, please!”

The king takes note of her sudden change in attitude, as well as right out refusing his commands. He’d comment on it if he weren’t on the verge of death.

“Where are you taking me then?” He asks.

Watching the duo hobble away, their backs to him, the Corpirate grabs his weapon again and fires at Ruby.

This time the Corpirate is prepared, and hits Ruby across the face with his weapon before shooting her again.

The Mad King lays on his side where he landed, watching all of this going on.

Ruby grunts, Corepirat’s leaving a gash on her face, the blast hits her right in the chest and she drops, “My King! Go, please!” she tries to kick the Corepirate’s feet out from under him.

Ruby watchs for little before she collapses, she enters the andoid equivalent of being unconcious; low power mode.

The Corepirate kicks at the Mad King. Still clawing at the Mad King’s hand, “Why?” he asked, “’Why save thee robot?”

The pirate choaks again, eyes bugling out of his head, he makes one last attempt to free himself before his face turns blue and he goes limp.
