when she was afraid, mallory tended to recoil and become the polar opposite of the loud, rowdy girl she usually was. which, granted, wasnāt something that happened very often but when she was around hunters - or someone she suspected to be a hunter - she panicked and had a difficult time hiding it. when she heard a voice from behind her, she cursed under her breath and reluctantly slowed, turning to face the guy and trying her best to mask the fear in her eyes. she tensed when he told her his brother was a hunter and her arms folded across her chest, her shoulders hunching slightly like she was trying to curl in on herself. although he first thought when she said his hunter brother had passed away wasĀ āgoodā she didnāt dare say that out loud in case he killed her for it. deer, my ass, she thought before speaking out loud. āmāsorry about your brother,ā she murmured, glancing towards the car quickly before looking back at him.Ā āiām not- iām not good with, uh, guns and stuff. so...ā
