malina is extremely hard to impress, and i don't mean it in the sense that she does it on purpose; she just is. in her quest to become the strongest she could be, the most powerful, she has devoted herself to learning so much about so many things that nothing truly surprises her these days, and rarely captures her interest. what this means is that, while she's capable of holding deep conversations, she rarely wants to. she has sort of isolated herself in this cocoon.
she's forever struggling with acknowledging her status as faefolk. she doesn't feel like one, well aware of how the public seems to perceive her kind and how she couldn't be farther from the norm, despite there being multiple types of faefolk. she'll use a plethora of word to describe her self: sprite, spellcaster, magician, dark priestess, mIsTrEsS Of eViL, but not fae. never fae.
along with her intimidating, foreboding exterior, she is also one of the most put-together people you'll ever meet. very elegant, perfect posture, honestly a sight to behold. she's a firm believer that in order to be powerful, one must look the part. the majority of her wardrobe consists of black, with the occasional touch of green or dark purple. she absolutely despises all other colors.
i'm gonna be real with you guys, diablo is her son. she'll never ever admit it and refuses to even think of him as such, but it's true. that's her boy. i think malina actually saw a lot of her younger self in him from the get - go, which is why he stands out from the rest of the minions and is more of a second in command to her. she definitely appreciates his loyalty, albeit in her own way.
she is a terrible communicator, especially when it comes to feelings / emotions. she'd much rather not acknowledge them and simply remove herself from the environment that's causing her to feel any type of way, good or bad. very much the type to have one single facial expression most of the time.
on the note of always wanting to know more , to be the most powerful , she's also quite an avid reader . seeing as most things are of little interest to her , it isn't unusual to catch malina reading as a way to pass the time .
