truth;; do you see any kind of future with walker?
âin all honesty, i feel that he has unfinished business with sofia that they need to sort out before he even thinks about trying anything with me. thereâs.. something between the two of them that i canât quite figure out, but despite that he is still my boss. of course we have some kind of future with one another when that is in play, but concerning our personal lives, iâm not sure. there is a connection between the two of us, yes, but we havenât even begun exploring it. so right now, iâll stick to iâm not sure.â
dare ;; tell arabella something true for once.
arabellamarie ;; âi know that things have been.. difficult between us lately, but i want to be honest with you about something,â mallory greeted solemnly upon entering the room the two shared, locking the door behind her so that there would be no interruptions, an uneasy feeling sitting low in the pit of her stomach as she took place beside arabella on her bed. âthe reason i was absent for a few weeks was because iâd been checked into a clinic. i have the strongest feeling that you already guessed as much before my disappearance, but i was there for sleep deprivation because i.. canât sleep. so. now you know.â
truth ;; what was your nightmare about last night?
âsomething that wonât stop haunting me. something that terrifies me more than iâll ever be able to admit to myself or anyone else.â
olivereyse:
oliver made his way over to mallory, biting his lip for a moment before giving her an apologetic smile. he wasnât opposed to kissing mallory, considering she was pretty, and an amazing person overall, but that just wasnât them. plus, sheâd been very sensitive as of late, and cagey overall, so he wasnât sure how this was going to go over. âthis is a dare, okay?â he said. âkiss the prettiest girl, and you were the first one i saw. okay? okay.â with that, he quickly pressed his lips to hers before stepping away, trying to gauge her reaction.
it was obvious by his body language upon approaching her that he felt nervous about whatever it happened to be that he sought her out for, which had mallory furrowing her brows along with the smile she gave him in greeting. âokay?â she answered, wondering just what dare could possibly involve her, and she wasnât given much time to process the explanation before oliverâs mouth was upon her own. a noise of surprise fell muffled behind her closed lips, followed by slight laughter that escaped her upon the breaking of it not even seconds later. it was a testament to how close they were that she hadnât felt even a hint of awkwardness about it, and she spoke with light laughter laced with her words, ânot bad for a dare.â
dare;; tell the next person on the dash why you were gone.
coltmycrs ;; the only way she can think of being able to do it is to just spit it out, approach him and skip the formalities so that she wouldnât psych herself out of it. a knot formed in her stomach that caused bile to raise in her throat as she wandered the house in search for him, and once she found colt she gave him a slight smile, almost apologetic in manner for how sudden her admission was. âi left for three weeks because i was in a clinic for sleep deprivation. you canât tell anyone.â
truth;; how do you feel about being part of the reason why walker and sofia broke up?
âiâve no idea why there would be any fault on my part for what went down between the couple, for the entirety of their relationship i made it my goal to keep away from both of them. it wasnât my intention to be the cause of any distress for walker or sofia, separately or together.â
dare ;; show us your best dance move
âi couldnât just casually begin dancing, every dancer must stretch extensively before getting into any moves. but i will say that while there is no âbestâ move, i do enjoy a double cabriole every now and then.â
olivereyse:
oliver felt himself relax slightly when mallory apologized. this was how they worked; they were able to understand each other, and they were able to be honest and own up to each other about most things. he could never see himself holding a grudge against mallory, considering he probably never would be able to stay angry at her for more than a day or so in the first place. âno. it wasnât fair that i was lying either, though.â he cleared his throat. maybe if he admitted something, a secret for a secret, she would be able to open up to him. âiâm, uh, worried, that theyâre gonna be able to track me down here. but iâm really terrified that they wonât just hurt me, but try to hurt the people around me. you. sofia. walker and hayes.â he let the statement hang in the air for a moment, taking a deep breath and looking her in the eye. âi justâŚwere you safe, mal? are you going to be safe? and i donât see why you wouldnât pay attention to yourself. youâre amazing.â
one thing mallory would continually cherish concerning her friendship with oliver was that it was and would always be a stable thing in her life, something she could no longer say for many of the connections she made within the house. perhaps it was because they met before she knew any of the rest of their housemates, but she would be infinitely grateful for their genuine connection and how he seemed to truly care for her. âoli, i donât think theyâll be able to find you here. if they do...â shaking her head, her chest expanded with her deep inhale before she expelled the breath with a sigh. âwhat is mine is yours. iâve barely spent anything throughout the months iâve been working this summer, and i would happily shell it over to you if you needed it. what happened in vegas.. i would pay tenfold what iâve ever even dreamed of having to never have you go through that again.â it wasnât the first time sheâd thought of it, giving her money to oliver so he could pay off his debts, but it was the only time she had actually voiced those particular thoughts to him. to soften the blow of her admission, she continued on with the change of subject he provided, âi was safe. nothing could have happened to me while i was gone, i was... in a very safe environment. i suppose thatâs the only way to explain it.â
sofiarcyes:
âyou know i really wanted to listen to the words that just left your mouth, but the more i tried to listen the more i got annoyed with whatever it was you were just talking about. so how about we change up the topic?â sofia mused, turning her attention to the girl.
often, mallory would maunder on without much of a response to anyone near, but the one thing sheâd never encountered was someone requesting a change in subject with the particular tone that accompanied sofiaâs words. âof course. what topic would you rather discuss, sofia?â
ilyandromeda:
âthere was a young boy, and I found him crying while on the beach. I walked up to him, and asked him what was wrong. he said that his mother was no where to be found. to cut a long story short, I bought him some ice cream, and his mother showed up about five minutes later. to see them embrace, tears in her eyes, due to the fact she had thought she lost her son, was heartwarming. I loved every moment of it.â
âthatâs a very lovely thing youâve done, i canât imagine too many would do the same. that boy got ice cream and his mother back, iâm sure youâll be remembered by the family for your kindness.â
tbhrhett:
His fingers grazed along the spines of the vast - and grossly extensive - record collection before him. The south wall was lined with shelves, nearly stocked to the brim with records, their covers a trying story of various shades of decay - some cracked and splintering with age and abuse, others stiff and still stained with the unmistakable âjust manufacturedâ scent. He lingered over a well loved Pink Floyd album, jade green eyes sweeping across the pyramid image splashed across the cover, almost as if he had fallen victim to a trance. He hummed in appreciation, the sound vibrating deep within the confines of his chest cavity. Spinning the record between his calloused fingertips, he carefully slid the black disk from itâs casing; his fingers crying out in blissful rejoice at the familiar weight. âDark Side of the Moon.â He murmured, seemingly completely lost to the world around him.
Mallory, naturally curious, found herself taking advantage of her housemateâs lack of knowledge regarding her presence to observe him; from his body language and what he seemed to seek out amongst the multitudinous records that all looked to be indistinguishable to her, to the way he seemed to greet the object in a manner which could be described as nostalgic. Ballet graced her with weightless footsteps, continuing to mask her company from Rhett until she was a mere few feet behind him and couldnât keep the question from rolling off her tongue. âWhatâs that? It sounds like it could be the title of a poem.â
âi was recently reading this book, and it spoke all about the study of hallucinatory 'voices' seeming to be shaped by local culture. in the united states, the voices are known to be harsh and threatening while those heard by schizophrenics in places like africa and india tend to be more benign and playful. what do you think this says about us? i canât imagine it says anything particularly good, and it makes me wonder just how chaotic our culture as a country is compared to others.â
@walkerlee: ( direct message @malpal ) sofia and i are over. you can blame paige for that but whatever. now, have you changed your mind or?
@malpal: ( direct message @walkerlee ) what did paige do? i can't imagine you're so ready to move on when something clearly happened between the two of you.

Georgia: Very benevolent of you to say!
Georgia: No specific reason, I insist.
Mallory: i say it because i know it to be true. are you sure?
Mallory: i'm sure faye will miss you dearly.
