HAPPY BIRTHDAY @sharkwithclassandass !!!
Ash, you darling boo, I give you the gift of song GAY ♥♥
Blue fingernails clicking testily against the railing, cold and rusty. Jay surprisingly stoic. Carlos swiveling his head around and around, keeping an eye out for a flash of monochrome furs. This wasn’t how Evie intended to spend her evening.
The waiting skewed her concept of time and made the minutes feel like hours. So hours (minutes) later, when footsteps descended down the steel stairwell, Evie let out a breath of relief like she’d been holding it in for a lifetime. Until her ears picked up only one pair of footsteps, only two shoes coming their way. “…So? Where’s Mal?” she all but demanded. Ben barely even held her gaze, his entire form carried defeat. “…She’s not coming back.” He shouldered past the stunned VKs, shuffling out into the streets of The Isle. “…What??” Evie blurted after him. Ben just kept on walking. "…I’ll talk to her.“ The gang had been clever in creating their hideout back in the day, Carlos even going so far as to set up two-way communication so they could tell unsuspecting passersby to back the heck up when they wandered too close and have a good laugh at the frightened and surprised yelps that followed. Evie turned out the old horn Jay had once fished out from the trash behind his father’s store, her voice traveling up into the hideout. "M? …Mal, it’s Evie. Let me just talk to you for a second,” she pleaded. "…Mal, come on.“ It didn’t take long for Mal’s voice to come back, carrying a metallic echo from their sound system. "Go away!!” Evie felt her heart drop. Then Jay was right there, taking her by the arm. “Let’s give her a couple hours to cool off,” he said gently. Evie could barely get the sigh out, what with the tightness in her chest. Jay and Carlos were already walking, down the alleyway after Ben. Evie’s feet urged her to move. One step, then another. Just listen to Jay, follow after the boys, leave Mal alone for a little bit. Let her clear her head. Her feet sure must have been surprised when the boys were disappearing around the corner and Evie herself was scaling the ladder to the top of the hideout.

summary: “As soon as I get back, I will,” Mal lets out a little breath, collecting her thoughts, “you know what I’m gonna’ do? I’m going to fuck you bent over the desk, right where you and Doug were studying. Know why?”
“Tell me.” Evie’s palm is grazing over her clit and she can’t hold it anymore, doesn’t stop the broken moan that escapes her.
“So that whenever you have a study date with him, you always remember that I fucked you. Right. There.”

Mal is at the boys’ room when she gets the call.
Jay’s in the middle of that stupid video game that once made Carlos too excited, enough to throw a nunchuck at the flatscreen television and shatter the thing; Carlos is in the process of 3-D printing a tiny Dude and Mal is lying on the bed, head hanging off the side of the bed while she leafs through her History of Magic textbook. The room is silent and it’s comforting, reminds me of her nights at the clubhouse back home.
The only thing missing from the perfect picture is Evie, who had to study with Doug for their Chemistry exam, and, well.
Mal misses her.
Evie would be shouting encouraging words at Jay, or having a pleasant conversation with Dude, or, like, lying in bed with Mal and trying to distract her from her studies.
“I’m hungry.” Dude interrupts the silence eventually, hopping onto the bed with Mal and staring down at her expectantly.
“Not your owner.” Mal retorts, turning the page.
She’s totally fake-studying. Mal’s read three chapters in the time she’s been in the boys’ rooms and she doesn’t remember a single fucking line she read. Maybe something or other about the wand, but even that’s a stretch.
Fuck.
This is what happens when your girlfriend is in another building, in her room, studying with an ugly troll who is in love with her and has probably never been acknowledged by a girl until now.
“Someone’s cranky because their girlfriend isn’t here.” Dude says as he hops off the bed, making Mal sit up and snap the book shut just to give him a look that, hopefully, communicates that yes, she will turn into a dragon and eat him right up.
“Feed your dog.” Mal snaps at Carlos, lying back down on the bed. She doesn’t open the book this time, though - instead chooses to stare blankly up at the wall and sigh.
“Be nice.” Carlos says to no one in particular - maybe to Dude, maybe to Mal - and then he pauses his 3-D scanning to finally feed his annoying dog.
That’s when Mal’s phone rings loudly and clearly in the room; it’s a generic, pre-installed one and Mal hasn’t cared enough to customize it yet, so. She reaches for it in her butt-pocket and her heart leaps when she notices the name shining bright on her screen: E, with a blue heart emoji, and a picture of Evie staring down intently at her homework with the sunlight hitting just right and wow, Mal really misses her girl.
“Is the troll gone yet?” Mal says as a way of greeting, smile so wide it’s hurting her cheeks. She knows that if Jay or Carlos saw her right now they’d tease the shit out of her but no one’s looking at her and she can smile whatever way she wants.
“He’s been gone a while.” Evie replies, voice shaking.
Mal frowns, immediately noticing the edge to her best friend’s voice, but decides not to comment on it just yet.
“And you didn’t tell me? Wow. Real good girlfriend i’ve got myself here.”
“I got caught up…” A pause, and when Evie speaks again, her voice is far too breathy, “thinking - uhm - about stuff.”
“Thinking about what stuff?” Mal asks, sitting up now.
“Before Doug left…remember?” Evie’s breath shudders and Mal closes her eyes, knowing damn well what is going on on the other end of the line.
Fuck, fuck, fuck.
She did remember.
They had been in the middle of a particularly intense make out session, right on Evie’s bed, with Mal sunk deep into the mattress as Evie ground down into her repeatedly. God. She remembered the way Evie looked and the way she felt and how badly she wanted to flip them over and just finger -
And then Doug had knocked.
Evie had frozen on top of her, face flush and lips bruised from previous ministrations, and Mal had practically begged for her not to open the door but. Evie is Evie and she had shouted I’m coming! (ironically so) before sliding off of Mal and rushing to the bathroom to fix herself up.
That’s how she ended up in Carlos and Jay’s room, cranky as fuck.
Mal licks her lips, then replies: “I remember. We didn’t get to…” suddenly remembering just where she is and who can hear her, Mal clears her throat and swallows back the lump in her throat, “um, we didn’t finish the homework.”
She hears Evie laugh on the other end, breathless, and Mal’s thighs squeeze together at the sound of her.
“Right, that,” Evie says, “We were rudely interrupted and…I was so close.”
As if to prove her point, Evie lets out a whimper - the sound she makes when fingers have found their way inside of her. Mal squeezes her eyes shut, trying her hardest to envision it. She can practically see Evie, spread out on the bed, on her back. She’s holding up her phone with one hand while the other works between her legs, one finger lazily stroking her walls to purposely make herself last a little and mercilessly tease Mal.
Evie’s evil that way.
“How about now?” Mal’s mouth has gone dry and she’s glad that she’s giving her back to Jay and Carlos - Mal’s sure her skin is burning bright red right now and it’s like she can, fucking, hide it or something. She’s pale as fuck.
“God, I’m so close already. You know what I’m imagining, M?”
“Hm?” Mal mumbles back, way too far fucking gone to properly express herself.
“I’m imagining that it’s your fingers inside of me.”
Mal has to bite her lip to keep from moaning at Evie’s words; she’s not even in the same room as her girlfriend but the effect is the same, really - blushing, sweating, so fucking turned on that Mal can feel her underwear sticking to her -
“How many?” Mal moves off the bed, sitting on the edge of it. She needs to make it to the bathroom that’s, hopefully, fucking soundproof so she can tell Evie everything on her mind right now. And that’s a lot. There’s plenty of cursing she wants to get through, plenty of screaming, plenty of Evie you’re a big fucking tease and I hate you.
“How many do you want?”
Mal purses her lips, hating her entire life right now.
“Three.”
Evie doesn’t answer; Mal literally hears her pushing her fingers into herself. She can tell by the way Evie gasps, the way her breathing stills for a second as she adjusts to the stretch.
“Now what?”
Damn it.
“I have to use the bathroom,” Mal blurts, suddenly, standing up from the bed and heading to the restroom, head bowed and phone pressed tightly to her ear. Jay and Carlos exchange a look and Dude says something but Mal doesn’t particularly care; all she cares about is the girl on the other line waiting for instructions.
“E?”
“Yeah?” Evie’s voice sounds so low and husky and Mal feels desire shoot straight down to her gut at the sound of it.
“Shit,” Mal whispers, stepping away from the door after locking it and stepping into the bathtub. She pulls the curtain closed, hoping for the best, and then works on calming her heart rate before speaking again. “I need you to go and fuck yourself.”
And if Mal meant that in more ways than one - well.
She really wishes she could just run across campus to the girl’s dorm room, go up the two flights of stairs to her room, and fuck Evie senseless herself but alas, she would most definitely be done by the time Mal got there.
“I wish you-” Evie gasps when she curls her fingers inside of herself, arousal coiling tight, “shit - I wish you were here.”
“What would I be doing? If I was there, I mean.” Mal is feeling too damn much right now - sue her for not being able to talk dirty properly.
“You’d be fucking me.” Evie can barely get the words out. “God, just fuck me.”
“As soon as I get back, I will,” Mal lets out a little breath, collecting her thoughts, “you know what I’m gonna’ do? I’m going to fuck you bent over the desk, right where you and Doug were studying. Know why?”
“Tell me.” Evie’s palm is grazing over her clit and she can’t hold it anymore, doesn’t stop the broken moan that escapes her.
“So that whenever you have a study date with him, you always remember that I fucked you. Right. There.”
Evie’s eyes flutter closed, images of Mal fucking her bent over her desk flying across her mind, burning, and she shudders urgently. Her jaw unhinges as her toes curl, the phone falling away from her shoulder.
She breathes heavily for a moment and Mal listens, the image of Evie coming so clear in her mind that for a second, she feels like she’s there, on top of her, kissing her as she comes out of that post-orgasm haze. Mal’s own breathing is heavy and she would laugh at how ridiculous this is - sitting in your best friends’ bathroom while your girlfriend fingers herself on the phone - if she weren’t so turned on.
“Evie?”
“Hm?” Evie responds after a second of silence, sounding dazed and relaxed (a.k.a the complete opposite of Mal).
“I hate you.”
Evie laughs, right into Mal’s ear, and they both damn well know her statement is the farthest thing from the truth.
“Are you in the bathroom? There’s a weird echo.”
“Yes, I’m in the bathroom! You called me while I was on Carlos’ bed!”
“Bathroom isn’t soundproof.”
“Shit, hold on.”
Mal hangs up the phone and then lifts herself out of the bathtub, giving herself a once-over on the bathroom mirror before stepping out the bathroom. She finds Jay still at the video game, Carlos still at the 3-D printer, and Dude sitting on the bed, right on top of her text book.
“Took you long enough.” Jay comments from the side, pausing the game and giving her a look. She rolls her eyes, mostly ‘cause she doesn’t have a snarky reply to that.
“What’s up with your face?” Dude asks, sitting up and cocking his head a little, “it’s all red.”
“Lunch was bad today.” Mal offers, shrugging. Carlos accepts the excuse but Dude is still looking at her with beady little eyes - so. “I’m going back to my room.”
Mal makes a beeline for the door, eager as fuck to get back to Evie, but then Dude speaks up again.
“Don’t forget your textbook.”
“Right.” Mal stomps over to the bed, yanks the book from under Dude, and just like that, she’s out the door and speed walking out of the boys’ dorms. Mal has never once ran during P.E. but now she rushes like her life depends on it, pushing past doors and shoving some girls out of her way and clicking at the elevator button twenty-six times before it opens on her floor and -
“Took you long enough.” Is what Evie says when Mal finally bursts through the door to their room, panting and red-faced, phone still clutched in her hand.
“You’re pure evil.” Mal slips her leather jacket off, kicks off her boots.
“So I’ve been told.” Evie watches Mal push her jeans off her hips, arching an eyebrow.
“Do you know how hard it was to control myself in there with you -“ Mal finally climbs on the bed, only in her underwear, and straddles Evie’s hips, “just…doing that…on my phone?”
“Can’t even imagine.” Evie teases, fingernails raking up and down Mal’s bare thighs. “Poor baby.”
“You owe me. Big time.”
Evie doesn’t wait another second before swiftly flipping them over; Mal’s eyes wander from face to Evie’s bare chest to tummy to -
“Tell me how to make it up to you, then.” Evie whispers against her lips right before crashing them together in a kiss dripping in desire and frustration and just a little anger on Mal’s behalf.
“It’ll take a while.” Mal argues, voice just a little far away because Evie is working on molting bruises into her neck. Teeth graze over her pulse point for a second and Mal sighs.
“Well, lucky for you,” Evie nips at her prominent collarbone, “I’ve got all day.”

Mal: will you excuse me, I have to go make a scene

“We accidentally got married in Vegas. Oops.”
Evie wakes up with a ring on her finger.
And nothing else.
The first thing she sees as she slowly peels her eyes open is the blinding sun pouring in from the windows and she groans loudly as she attempts to roll away from them. But instead of falling into the comfort of her pillow, her face smashes into sun warmed skin and her entire posture goes rigid. Last time she checked, she had left this hotel room by herself and she certaintly hadn’t invited anyone back with her. Or at least she can’t remember it.
“Please don’t be Chad. Please don’t be Chad.”
Evie sucks in a harsh breath and slowly sits up as she turns her head and is greeted by a mess of blonde locks. A squeak catches in the back of her throat as she tumbles back, and she pauses as she sees the gleam of something on her finger. In place of the usual overly flashly engagement ring that usually rests on her finger, a simple silver band with a blue diamond rests safely in its place. And just like that, the memories begin to hit her as she stumbles off the bed and towards the bathroom.
“Blue? Really?”
Evie pouts as she looks to the woman beside her, “It’s beautiful.”
“Are you sure it’s the one you want?”
“It is.” Evie whispers as she looks at the ring protected by the thick layer of glass in the display cabinet. “Chad picked out my engagement ring with my mother, they wanted to make a statement. This is…subtle. And it’s my favorite color.”
The woman beside her smiles softly and shrugs, “Blue it is then.”
After Evie is done emptying the contents of her stomach and the regrets from the night before into the toilet, she slowly tiptoes her way back into the open space of the hotel room and pauses to admire the woman that rests peacefully in her bed. The bedsheets do little to cover the length of the woman’s spine and the adorable dimples at the small of her back, and for some reason a roll of warmth rotates through her.
“What the hell did I do?” Evie whines to herself as she fumbles for her phone.
The battery is almost dead, but she manages to pull up her last conversation with her best friend and she cringes as she sees that it is currently already being blown up. With a quick glance over her shoulder, Evie checks on the stranger in her bed before she turns her attentionb back to her phone and begins to frantically text in the group chat between her little circle of friends.
Evieee: I have a problem…
Carlosss: Does the problem involve that blonde you were flirting with last night?
Jayyy: If it invovles Chad then I will happily kick his ass.
Lonnieee: Are you okay???
Evieee: I would be okay if I didn’t have a ring on my finger.
Jayyy: Uh…
Jayyy: Whose ring? Chad’s
Lonnieee: YOU DIDN’T!!!!!
Carlosss: Evelyn, please tell me you didn’t marry that chick.
Evieee: I did.
Jayyy: More like I do…am I right? lmao
Evieee: I hate you.
Evie freezes as she hears the rustle of the bedsheets and she drops her phone quickly and turns to glance over her shoulder as the blonde sits up and the sheets ripple silently down her body. A soft breath leaves Evie as she gaps openly at the goddess before her, and green eyes tiredly turn to her before the woman gives her a half-smile and rubs at her eyes as she stretches her arms over her head.
“Hey, you. You okay?”
“I…I…”
“You look beautiful. How is that possible?” The woman mumbles as she yawns and reaches to wrap the sheets around herself before she scans Evie over. “I probably look like a fucking dragon compared to you.”
“You look wonderful.” Evie assures her as she stands and moves to sit on the edge of the bed, and the stranger is quick to fall over so her head is resting safely in Evie’s lap. “Did you sleep okay? Do you need some aspirin?”
“Nah. Um, so…I don’t want to be a douche here but I uh don’t remember your name…”
“Likewise,” Evie grins as she brushes a hand through soft hair. “My name is Evie. Evie Grimhilde.”
“Well, Evie,” The stranger purrs. “I’m Mal Diaval.”
“Mal Diaval,” Evie begins in a calm voice. “We’re married.”
Mal quickly sits up as her eyes go wide, “Huh?”
“It seems that you and I had enough to drink last night to where we thought forever seemed like a good idea.” Evie sighs as she holds her hand up to display her ring. “Seems like us participating in a one night stand wasn’t enough.”
“I-I’m…holy shit.” Mal murmurs as she glances down at her own hand. “This is a huge rock.”
“Do you remember anything about last night?” Evie demands as she stands.
Mal watches as Evie begins to walk through the room, “I remember you walking into the bar and me just about dying. You looked…untouchable. So, when I bought you a drink we kept talking and talking. It kinda all becomes a blur after you mentioned some douchebag named Chad and how you hated him.”
Evie swallows hard and nods, “I’m set to be married in a month.”
“Yeah.” Mal scoffs. “I remember.”
“My mother wants me to marry a man I don’t even love.”
Mal arches an eyebrow in response, “Then marry someone else.”
“Oh, because that is such an easy task to achieve.” Evie scoffs as looks to the woman. “My mom has had my life mapped out since the moment the doctor told her I was a girl. If I even strayed from that plan…she’d lose her mind.”
“Marry me.”
Evie sputters on her sip of whiskey, “E-Excuse me?”
“Marry me.” Mal repeats. “Map out your own future.”
“Okay.” Evie laughs as she shakes her head. “Let’s go get married.”
“Oh God.” Evie whimpers as she clutches at her hair and paces evenly through the space of the hotel room. “What did I do? My mother is going to kill me when she finds out I’m married. I married someone in Vegas!”
Mal sighs as she rubs the heel of her hand against her forehead, “Evie, it’s not a big deal.”
“Not a big deal?” Evie repeats as she turns to face Mal with wide eyes. “Mal, I am the head designer of a fashion line. I’m literally at the peak of my career, the paparazzi stalk me everywhere I go. They’re going to know about this…this could ruin me.”
“It’s a marriage, Evie,” Mal scoffs. “It’s not like we joined a cult.”
“We don’t even love each other! I met you last night!” Evie exclaims. “For all I know, you very well could be in a cult and this was just your way of recruiting me. You…You literally just bought yourself a wife.”
“Well, at least my wife is funny.” Mal shrugs as she leans back on her elbows and continues to watch Evie pace. “Look, we’ll figure this out. All we have to do is go to a courthouse and just get an annulment. After that, we’ll pretend like none of this happened.”
“We consummated our marriage.” Evie reminds her in a slow tone as she gestures to where the bed sheets and their clothes are haphazardly tossed around. “There’s no way for us to just get ourselves out of this.”
Mal winces as her eyes fall, “I’m sorry.”
“I don’t blame you.” Evie assures her as she runs a hand through her dark locks, and she pauses for a brief moment as her ring snags on a strand of hair. “I don’t remember much about last night, but I know I was on a mission to piss off my mother.”
“Well, at least you can say you accomplished something.” Mal chuckles as she makes a show of holding up her hand to display her ring. “And now you don’t have to marry that scumbag you were talking about last night.”
Evie pauses as her brow furrows and then a beams light up her face, “Oh my God!”
“What?” Mal demands as the worry crosses her features. “What’s wrong?”
“I’m married.” Evie whispers.
“Yeah, we’ve been talking about it for like an hour…”
“No, Mal,” Evie hisses as she turns to look at Mal with wide eyes. “I’m married. I-I’m married and there’s nothing she can do about it, there’s nothing Chad can do about it. I’m legally bound to someone else.”
“So,” Mal frowns briefly. “You want to stay married out of spite?”
“I know it sounds horrible, but…”
“I’m down.” Mal cuts in.
Evie smiles softly as she looks to the woman, “Are you sure?”
“Let’s see…married to a hot model who is successful and smart? Yes. Yes, I am absolutely sure about this.” Mal smirks, and Evie can’t help but giggle at the expression. “Who knows maybe we’ll fall in love along the way.”
“Maybe.” Evie whispers as she stares at this mystery woman. “How about we get to know each other over some shitty hotel coffee?”
“Sounds like the perfect honeymoon to me.”

“Is it possible to love someone too much?”
“Noes goes!”
“Ha. Cute. Nice try, my finger is already on my nose.” Mal scoffs, and Evie is quick to glance over her shoulder to see that Mal’s finger is indeed already on her nose. “I know this game too well with you, babe. Give me the keys.”
“But I wanna drive.” Evie whines as she holds the keys to her chest with one hand while the other guides her sunglasses to the top of her head. “You always drive, Mal. Can’t I please just drive this one time?”
“No.” Mal replies as she holds her hand out and wiggles her fingers. “Shall we reminisce on the last time you drove? You were singing along so loud to the radio and go so distracted that you literally almost ran over some old lady.”
“You said you wouldn’t talk about that! And it was an accident.” Evie huffs as she finally gives up and holds the keys out to Mal who quickly snatches them with a smile. “One day you’re going to let me drive again.”
“That’ll be the day I stop valuing my life.”
Evie’s jaw drops as she trails behind her girlfriend, “That is so rude.”
“I don’t think it was rude at all, I’m just stating the truth.” Mal calls over her shoulder as they wonder out of the house. “E, you know how much I love you but you can’t drive for shit. I’ve seen the tabloids, and Seb tells me all about it.”
“You can’t trust the word of an eight-year-old.” Evie grumbles as she carefully trails Mal down the steps and towards their waiting car. “So I may not be the best driver, but you shouldn’t limit my driving privileges so much.”
“E, we can discuss then when we’re not twenty minutes late to pick up Sebastian.” Mal chuckles as she unlocks the doors to the Lexus before she looks back at Evie. “Come on, babe. Let’s go.”
“I’m going to drive the Jaguar.” Evie shrugs. “Little prince loves it.”
“The fuck you’re driving our Jaguar. We just got that and I refuse to let my insane girlfriend drive it into a wall or scratch it.” Mal scoffs as she pushes her sunglasses into her blonde locks before she smirks. “And I hid the keys.”
”Not very well.” Evie chirps as she digs them free from the purse on her arm while Mal simply gaps at her. “You won’t let me drive the Lexus so I’ll settle with driving your precious Jaguar. We got two cars for a reason, remember?”
“No, we got two cars because you didn’t want to have to carpool anymore.” Mal corrects as she leans back against the Lexus before she stretches her arm out. “Give me the keys or I’ll make you sleep on the couch tonight.”
Evie arches an eyebrow in amusement, “Cute.”
“E, I’m serious.” Mal huffs.
“Keep on telling yourself that.” Evie sneers as she sways her way towards the garage as a smile grows on her face as the door pulls up to reveal their red Jaguar. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a little boy waiting to be picked up.”
Evie strolls lazily towards the waiting car only to squeal as arms curl around her waist, and she is quick to struggle in the grasp as she is lifted from the ground. With ease, Mal turns them away from the garage before she carefully settles Evie back on her feet and attempts to reach for the keys. For a moment, the couple struggles as Mal grunts from Evie elbowing her in her side while Evie attempts to fold herself in to hide the keys.
“No. You are so not driving the Jaguar.” Mal groans as she fights to grab the keys from her girlfriend while Evie squeals and struggles against her. “Evelyn Victoria Grimhilde, give me the fucking keys or so help me…”
“No!” Evie whines. “I wanna drive.”
“We’re going in the Lexus. Together. And I’m driving.” Mal growls.
The two continue to struggle against each other, and Evie giggles as Mal begins to playfully bite at her bare shoulder while she stumbles over her heels slightly. The arguing and teasing goes on for a good three minutes before they hear someone clear their throats, and both are quick to turn their gazes to the end of their driveway where their neighboor stands with a concerened frown.
“Are you two ladies okay?” The woman asks in a gentle tone.
“We’re fine, Mrs. Lawrence.” Mal assures her as her hand creeps towards Evie’s before she grabs the keys from the distracted woman’s hand. “We were just discussing who was going to drive us to pick up Sebastian.”
“Yeah, everything is perfectly fine.” Evie nods as she reaches for the keys, but Mal simply tightens her grasp on her the cool metal with a glare. “Don’t worry about us, my girlfriend is just being stubborn.”
“Mm, I know how that is, dear.” Mrs. Lawrence hums. “John is the same way.”
Mal straightens up with a scowl, “Hey, I am not that bad.”
“Whatever you say, dear.” Mrs. Lawrence chuckles as she continues on her walk.
Evie watches her go before she grabs a pair of keys from Mal, “I’m taking the Lexus whether you like it or not.”
“Yeah, you go right ahead because I’m mad at you and I don’t want to sit through traffic with you anyway.” Mal mumbles as she watches her girlfriend saunter to the car. “You are so not getting laid tonight.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Evie giggles before she pauses and glances towards Mal. “Drive safely.”
“Oh, I plan to.” Mal scoffs before she pauses and softens. “You too.”
Evie smiles as she watches Mal, “Is it possible to love someone too much?”
“Don’t try and be cute.” Mal sneers with a glare. “Race you! First one there gets to drive Sebastian home and pick what we have for dinner!”
“You are so on.”
