After two years of trying not to die from work that is also giving me COVID, I might go back to doodling? Life is expensive and I’m not even having fun 🫠

So apparently it’s a thing now that clients are unfollowing and canceling their commissions from digital artists here locally because of some political shitstorm my country has created.

Imagine being that bigoted with lack of critical thinking and lumping everybody in one basket.

At any rate, it’s a good thing I still have sparse content and following so I could backtrack and strip any hint of my country of origin in my socmed accounts.

Doing a bit of WW1 research for a fic/comic fix-it project for the disappointment that is the king’s man movie (so much potential wasted tbh), and while going through what seems to be resources for a curriculum lesson plan on wartime aviation history in UK, I came across a WW2 spitfire ace named George “Grumpy” Unwin.

Man, I remembered the rumors when Aaron Taylor Johnson was casted it’s rumored he would be Egsy’s ancestor, I think THIS would be the character. Instead he end up as this odd underdeveloped character.

Unless they will make the implied ww2 stateman origins, on which I highly doubt.

Had a meaningful reblog shenanigans with @consistentsquash few weeks ago about making fix it fanfiction for The King’s Man and now I have a raging plot bunny who had formed a prelude draft in my head and won’t go away. Idk if I shall go with fanfiction or comic form.

( but also thanks for having faith in me? 😭 and my brain farts?)

I wanna draw scenes from the “Kalinka” Series (and it’s companion fics Amandine, The Father, The Son, The Holy Ghost and The Old Man of Hoy) by the talented fic writer Eldritcher, who is sorta the reason why I’m even drawing kingsman / the king’s man fan art today, the other reason is Daniel Brühl, he is kinda growing on me 🤔

I am also practicing with fan art to make…more art 🖼

Thank you! Daniel Brühl is kinda fun to draw with his expressions because he do remind me of a cat and I know I’m not alone as someone mentioned his Erik Jan Hanussen character as a monocled meow meow lol. I’m gonna draw a few more of him, probably a few more characters as practice before I do some sketches of for Kalinka. I’m doing a bit of research for aide de camp and boer war uniforms too, hopefully on or before June I’m gonna have it up!

I watched The King’s Man from a stream download early February that kept me from dying from my freelance gig and realized there isn’t enough fan material out there, and I just have want to do Brühl’s version of Erik Jan Hanussen after my gig👌 Idc if this is accurate, let’s pretend he is now organizing his Flock under his leadership.

Honestly it’s several MONTHS since my last draw because pandemic life has screwed me over. Now I want to draw kingsman fan art etal but my skills don’t match how I imagined it, and I wish I could just project my mental visuals to my tablet lol.
