Meet the parents

Naturally, Joyce was equally as confused as Eurus was, but for slightly different reasons. Considering Jim never talked about his work, even though she knew what he did, he never mentioned meeting anyone. Although she heard about the incident with Molly from Sebastian, but only after she forced it out of him. “I am.” She nodded. “I didn’t expect anyone else to be here. Usually it’s Sebastian doing god knows what.”
“Sentiment brings people back to the place of a loved one.” Eurus blurted out almost automatically heading back inside the flat, of course she didn’t consider herself part of “people,” at least not in the sense she was speaking about. She headed directly to the place that she had been sitting before, folding her legs as she sat on the floor, this time facing the woman now occupying the space. “It’s clear enough you don’t know who I am but it doesn’t seem to bother you.” Most people would be asking questions by now, demanding answers that Eurus wasn’t going to give out without a game. Of course, the mother of James Moriarty wasn’t most people, that much had been clear since the second she laid eyes on her.
Joyce cautiously let herself in after the other. The flat was virtually untouched, which was to be expected. Dust covering old pictures and tables. “When it comes to my son, I learned to not question things.” For all she knew, the other woman was an acquaintance. She found a seat that was across from where Eurus was sitting, and sat herself down.
