On a different note than usual, and one that some have probably already heard of, for the people who are panic buying PLEASE pay attention to if there is a WIC symbol next to what you are buying. We use WIC. It’s nothing I’m ashamed of and we needed to use it before the #coronavirus made things so complicated and for some scary. We have gone shopping two separate days to get #wic approved items and have been able to get less than half of the items. WIC only approves certain brands, sizes, and types and we weren’t able to get beans, rice, and several other staples. Not because there were none of those items left, but because the approved items had all been taken. This means we have to take more trips out of the house to get food when we shouldn’t have to. We are fortunate to be able to use WIC and while the coronavirus has done some financial damage to our family, we are #blessed and know that we are not as in dire need as others. Obviously this is not directed at everyone and if you need the item take it. I have gained 17 pounds in the past month and a half. And I’m very happy I have. I am #6months along and have had people tell me I didn’t even look #pregnant until just a few weeks ago. Having lost 12 pounds in my #firsttrimester due to #hyperemesisgravidarum I was really struggling to put on any weight which is NOT a good thing when it comes to a developing baby. I am happy to report that our #babyboy is #healthy and right where he needs to be. I am only 5 pounds over my #prepregnancy weight, but after being so scared of losing this baby, I don’t feel so much anxiety anymore. This pregnancy has taught me a lot, but the most important things so far have been how strong my body is and how thankful I am to have a partner who took care of me and rushed me to the ER when I needed it. I have two wonderful Valentines this year. One is my loving husband who knows that sometimes this pregnant lady just needs to be held or brought water every 30 minutes (I’ve never been so thirsty!) and second is our beautiful baby boy who is starting to kick mama when he’s hungry or to say thank you after I’ve eaten.
