My favorite songs, and yes they will always be my favorite!
It has been about 6 months since we left New York and moved to Jax. I finally know my way around town, and do not need gps for everything. The winter here lasted about a month where it never got below 35 and highs were in the 60s. This past weekend was beautiful with 79 degree weather...in other words I'm not missing the weather from NYC at all. I have made a handful of mommy friends who I do things with and have become really close with. The past month I have been making trips to Orlando! We have been to Disney's Magic Kingdom, Sea Life Aquarium and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Life right now is definitely an adventure and we are loving it all thus far! I will be making a list of my favorite restaurants in Jax, and my favorite places to go to with Jack, so keep checking back for advice from a New Yorker living in Jax! Here's a photo of us in The Animal Kingdom!
Coming from New York, Jacksonville feels so small yet so big! I have to really think about where I want to go that day and spend time planning the route, unlike in New York City where you can take the subway anywhere and walk anywhere once you are in the city. But the good thing is that there are many more kid friendly places here and a much shorter car ride than a train ride would be in NYC! Also lots of things to do outdoors! Here we are at Tommys Pumpkin Patch, where they had a petting zoo, corn maze, corn box(??!), fun games and a lot of pumpkins! J absolutely loved it -to say the least!
Beach baby! It's October and we all enjoyed swimming in the ocean at Jacksonville Beach. I still can't believe how warm the water was, we didn't want to get out of it! The waves are amazing this time of year! I was on my boogey board for ages and I rode a huge wave to shore which makes me really want to take up surfing!!!
Update on my adventure #momblr! We are loving #Jacksonville! We are luckily living in such a great location called Southside which is close to the beach but also close to the major Highways! J is such a water baby and loves the pool and the beach! I still feel like a tourist here and have a lot left to explore in #Jacksonville #jacksonvillemoms , follow our family adventure here in Jax

Indoor playground in Palm Beach
Bye BK, hello Jacksonville, Florida
My first time leaving NYC and moving to bigger better things..and by better I mean for family life! I'm looking at it as an adventure and I get to be a tourist in a brand new place for as long as I can call myself that! Jacksonville is huge and there's so much to do there especially when u have a little one! Today we explored a place called coolbeans, granted its in Palm Beach but I have never seen and indoor playground as beautiful and huge as this one! It's a good sign that establishments here go "all out" ! We were there for nearly 5 hours lol because even their food (and coffee) is amazing! Here are some pictures of Cool Beans at Palm Gardens Downtown! Ps: if anyone is from Jax, I'd love to get any tips you may have for a new towner, we'll be moving to Southside :)
Baby aviators! They actually make them!
Love is...
When your your 18M old son blows you three kisses with one hand while the other holds his bottle as he's laying down in his crib with heavy eyes about to fall asleep.
The hubby and I went to Electric Daisy Carnival on Sunday! It was the most fun he and I have had in a really long time! The crowd was great, and the DJs too! I highly recommend a music festival with you hubby as a little getaway!
My little man looking fly! He's such a poser, I got like 10 shots of him posing!
Here's Jack at 18months! Happy half birthday little one! To the world he may be one person but to me he is the world!
Here's baby Jack, and his little friend, at the Central Park zoo ! I was unsure if he would like it or know what was going on but I was wrong! He was completely amazed by all the different animals! He enjoyed feeding the animals the most and was so fearless doing it! ! Watching his face when seeing certain animals for the first time was the best part for me! I highly recommend taking your toddler to the zoo and petting zoo!
Hey bloggers,
I’m going to share a very toddler friendly recipe, it’s Jack’s favorite lunch food and he always eats the whole thing. Also, it’s quick 20 minute meal and super easy to make in case u are in a rush! I call it “Jacks favorite tomato dish” but it’s basically a Chicken Pasta Marinara This recipe serves 2.
Ingredients you will need: 2 chicken breasts ( depending on their size) ½ cup onion 1 small garlic clove 1 small garden tomato 1 small can of CENTOS peeled plum tomatoes Thin spaghetti #9 Seasoning: salt, pepper, oregano or adobo Goya Olive oil or vegetable oil
First I put the water to start boiling for the pasta. Then I finely chop up the onion and garlic and put them in a saucepan with about a tbs of oil over Medium-heat. Then I chop up the tomato and add it to the sauce pan. I then add the seasoning to taste. When the onion and tomato look cooked and a little golden I add the CENTOS, and chop up the plum tomatoes (Depending on how much sauce u want u can add the whole thing or only some, I'm using two plums and sauce from a big can I had left over). I cover it and keep it on a low simmer while I place the pasta in the boiling water (with salt and oil) and prepare the chicken. I cut the chicken breast into thin slices and season them. Then fry them in a pan with some oil over med-high heat. I keep turning them till golden brown and cooked through. I chop it up into small squares and add them to the saucepan. I usually break up the pasta into little pieces when I first place it in the boiling water. Or cut it up after its cooked. I cook it for 10 minutes, . Once the pasta is done, drain it and serve it with the sauce and a side of your toddler favorite veg. Sometimes I chop up zucchini and add it to the sauce as well! Enjoy little ones!
Hope this helps, Mama rox
