Is it okay to use one of your plots to write a fic?
Sure, go for it! I would even love to read it. ❤️
You move next door to a sweet old lady. She takes to you because you’re always so nice to her. One day after helping her inside with groceries, she says, “all these good for nothing women always go after my grandson. I’d like you to meet him. You’d be a good influence.” Hm, seems innocent enough. But uh-oh, meemaw failed to mention her beloved grandson is a global celebrity with outrageous prominence and success. Now you’re more than shocked. Maybe he was even your teenage crush or someone you always hated [I wrote this part in mind of him being a famous heartthrob, but what if they personally knew each other/have history??]. Regardless, a life of crazed fans and paparazzi doesn’t interest you. Plus his dating criteria of models and actresses doesn’t exactly apply to you either. Yeah, this definitely won’t go anywhere. [Wink, wink]
Alternatively: Famous granddaughter and the next door neighbor is a guy.
Imagine a plot where two individuals have a co-dependent friendship, always running off together and staying out longer than they should because they don’t want to face their toxic home lives. You know, the whole staying at restaurants until closing time, aimlessly driving around, sneaking on top of roof tops. And they’re just kinda fucked up, negatively coping with their personal issues by taking drugs and having sex, the latter only involved when they’re intoxicated or really really vulnerable. Otherwise, they’re platonic friends and pretty much don’t mention the sex. There’s an unspoken understanding between them that they just needed to feel some sort of pleasure in their sea of pain and don’t have like, repressed feelings for one another or anything. Or so they think. Can you imagine when jealousy & feelings arise? And being so scared at the fact you’re in love with your best friend? I cry. They could both be from the same class (lower, middle, upper), or one rich and the other isn’t.
♡ Inspired by What Happens in Vegas (2008)
Following a night of debauchery in Las Vegas, two strangers awake, coming to the sober realization they’ve gotten married and also hit a 3 million jackpot at the slot machines. Muse A feels entitled to all of the winnings because they played. Muse B believes they deserves half of it because their money went into the machine. All hell breaks loose, the newlyweds arguing as if they’ve been married for years. They’re screaming annulment and weaponizing personal issues drunkenly confessed to each other while partying. Muse B flashes a cheap ring, taunting their marital status to Muse A and how they’ll get half the money in court anyway.
Flying back home to where they both ironically reside, Muse A and Muse B soon faces a judge that isn’t amused by their greed and immaturity. Sentenced to live together for six months and attend weekly marriage counseling while the money is frozen, here’s the deal; if they sincerely work at their marriage and still want to divorce after the six months, each will be granted half the winnings. If Muse A and Muse B does not follow orders & are found in contempt of court, the money will be tied up in litigation so that they never see it.
Muse A overhears her boyfriend’s dad, Muse B, talking major shit about her and saying how much he liked the ex better. She doesn’t understand what his problem is, believing they had actually hit it off upon meeting. When Muse A confronts Muse B about his unkind words, turns out how well they get along is ironically the problem. Muse B is extremely attracted to Muse A, and would prefer if she was out the picture, as to not hurt his son by doing something massively stupid with her. A shit storm of temptation begins to brew when Muse A confesses mutual attraction.
(But imagine this as mxm or fxf. Muse B hasn’t had a sapphic/gay lover in years or maybe never before. The whole older, “experienced” bs is totally thrown out the window here, Muse A being the dominating figure, and they’re both loving it.)
Side note: this is a legal age gap. Don’t be weird.
A plot where these two guys have been friends literally forever, and of course they have a rule to never let women come in between them. BUT that day arrives, and they’re competing like hell for this certain girl. It gets so bad that they physically fight, which is totally unlike them. What’s even more unlike them? The passionate kiss they share in the middle of said fight, so now it’s like damn... do I actually like you? Do I have my jealously all wrong?
your sister sister plot is SO CUTE! So many sibling threads are about incest so it’s nice to see something wholesome
Thank you! I’m glad that you enjoyed the plot and found it wholesome. Your compliment has brightened my day.
So, we know the premise of Sister, Sister (tv show) are two identical twin girls separated at birth, by chance rediscovering each other in a shopping mall 14 years later when they’re teenagers. How about an inspired plot focusing on the adoptive parents love-hate relationship, where Muse A is single & from the inner-city raising one twin. Muse B is a widower, living in the suburbs and raising the other twin. Muse A has a vibrant personality that contrasts Muse B’s more dignified nature, so unlike the twins, they don’t hit it off when first meeting. And just when their children have reunited and are getting to know each other, Muse A accepts a job opportunity miles away because they’re unemployed and REALLY need the work. They promise the twins they can visit each other whenever time permits, but this isn’t good enough for the newly reunited girls. The twins have vowed to never be separated again, begging Muse A to move in with Muse B. Both parents are totally against the idea at first, but eventually relents because they care deeply for their girls. Now, Muse A and Muse B are attempting to live together as one cohesive family despite being complete strangers with opposite personalities and probably different parenting styles.
Muse A is a trophy wife/husband. They’re taken off the shelf when it’s time to be arm candy, rewarded with exotic vacations, and dine at the finest restaurants. Of course this luxurious lifestyle is great, but something feels amiss. Only when Muse A starts an affair with Muse B, their spouse’s new assistant, does life regains meaning. Muse B is like a breath of fresh air, their chemistry dreamy. Simple stargazing, going to museums, eating takeout food, and talking for hours with Muse B is better than anything vast money can afford. After years, Muse A is finally seen as a person rather than an object, and dammit if they’re not ready to trade in the high life for true love.
Possible plot twist:
Muse B was paid/blackmailed to make Muse A fall in love with them. Maybe Muse A’s rich spouse wants a divorce, and the only way they can keep all their money is if Muse A breaks some infidelity clause. Or maybe even a rival wants the business-oriented spouse heartbroken and sidetracked. Either way, Muse B is now in over their head because they’ve fallen deeply in love with this supposed to be unbearable snob.
♡ Inspired by Killing Eve (tv series)
Muse A is this unfulfilled, desk-bound intelligence officer that begrudgingly tends to heaps of paperwork rather than being a spy and tracking down assassins like she dreams about. When Muse B, an elusive, talented killer, sends shockwaves through government agencies, Muse A’s fantasy meets reality. She is pulled into a meeting in regards to the string of murders committed across the continent, and theorizes that the assassin is a woman, as well as speculates her MO. Everything Muse A stated eventually checks out, and she is appointed head of a secret, off-the-books department to find Muse B. The desk-bound agent curiosity is finally stimulated, her dream opportunity presented. Soon, Muse’s A mission turns into an obsession for Muse B, rooted in the alternate lifestyle that she always wished for. But at what cost? Can she live with Muse B’s reciprocated obsession? Random boxes of designer items, tagged with cryptic messages? The possibility of jeopardizing her loved ones lives? The fierce game of cat and mouse all over the world? Both Muse A and Muse B begin to lose sight of their initial objectives, becoming inextricably linked to one another’s worlds.
♡ Supernatural
Muse A has passed away some time ago, yet still walks the median line of earth. She’s precariously on the cusp of afterlife and earth, unable to escape this nebulous time period due to a past friend/and or lover’s unusual grieving process that anchors her. Muse B oddly has an ability to communicate with her, continuing everyday life as if nothing happened. Muse A is tangible to them, and maybe they’re not consciously aware that she has died, which causes a huge conflict between verses. Muse B is referred to as “earthling’s unfinished business”. When Muse A decided not to tell Muse B of her passing, she essentially became a ghost, and has since remained one, torn between allowing herself eternal peace at the expense of Muse B’s sanity.
♡ Inspired by Beth x Rio from Good Girls (tv series)
Muse A is the quintessential housewife/suburban mom. She religiously attends PTA meetings, ensures dinner is made every night, and packs the kids sweet little notes in their lunchboxes. These things seemingly makes Muse A happy, but after discovering she’s in financial ruin because her husband’s mistress has expensive taste, Muse A refuses to sit by idle while he fumbles for money solutions and apologies. Desperate to pay off the neglected mortgage and other financial burdens by any means necessary, Muse A resorts to carrying out an unlikely heist that is surprisingly successful. Unfortunately, Muse A robbed from a business that Muse B launders money through, inadvertently stealing from a crime boss.
She soon realizes law enforcement is the least of her worries when she’s confronted by Muse B and henchmen, demanding his money back + interest. Having spent all of the cash, Muse A becomes tangled up with a crime syndicate, forced to work for Muse B by laundering money/completing dangerous tasks until he’s fully reimbursed. Though Muse B is aloof and callous, the suburban mom’s antics has a way of amusing him. Initially alarmed by the lifestyle, Muse A begins to enjoy the thrill of it all, and officially wants in for herself after paying back what’s owed. Muse B is humored by her gall to ask for further involvement and percentages, but most importantly, has developed a soft spot for Muse A.
