Hi, guys. Long time no see!
I’ll go straight to the point. I’m planning to release “something” GARO related for Christmas, but I need a little help.
The only think I ask is that someone sends me a picture of Zaji where he ideally appears with his full body on a white or transparent background. For example, it could be edited from these pictures.

A lot of your Garo translations contain "protector one". What is the original Japanese expression used? Because, to my english-speaking ears, "protector one" doesn't really scan. So I thought i'd ask to look into that expression.
Oh, I’m sorry if it sounds too bad. The original Japanese term is 守りし者 (mamorishimono), which is pretty stilted itself. It means “one who protects” (maybe that sounds better, I think Funimation left it like that once). The folks at Over-Time translate it as “guardian,” which I guess conveys the meaning perfectly. The nuance with mamorishimono is that it really isn’t a common expression at all. If you google it, nearly 100% of the results will be GARO-related. That’s what led me to avoid using a common dictionary word, but if it really doesn’t click maybe I’ll just stick with “guardian” as well from now on. Thanks for your message!

I watched them from Chile. I think at least all of Latin America has them. They even got a Spanish dub, and I guess a Portuguese one for Brazil too.

Yeah, maybe next time you’ll get one that both has GARO as the protagonist and doesn’t suck, instead of one of each. (Seriously, Red Req. is total garbage. I never saw the other one yet, but I assume it must be at least decent.)
To be honest, I was also worried by their choice of starting titles. Both have their issues, specially if you're gonna watch them as your starting entries. If they were going for a movie, I think they should have picked GOLD STORM. I just hope they do well someway, so that we can get further GARO stuff in the future. One sad thing, though, in the Spanish dub they had some little fuckups here and there, which are to be expected from any dub, but one thing that totally shouldn’t have happened is that they call Kouga “Kuga.” What a downer.

GARO: Guren no Tsuki - 25
Here I bring you “GARO: Guren no Tsuki” extra episode included in Box 2 of its domestic release. Unfortunately, they threw it in the DVD for the extras, so it doesn’t exist in HD. On the other hand, that’s what allowed me to rip it, as I don’t have a BD drive. As some of you might know, I’m no native English speaker, so you can expect some errors in the subtitles, but it shouldn’t be such a big deal. Now talking about the episode itself, I personally liked it a lot. I hope you can allow other people to enjoy it without suffering too much spoilers. Well, enjoy the episode. GARO Manga
Long time without posting here. Well, I’ve brought you the first GARO manga translated into English. It’s just 3 chapters long, and it basically retells part of the first episode of the original series. It’s not much, but it’s something. I’ll try to do GARO THE BIBLE next. Enjoy!

Hey, I am the one who asked about Garm sex XD. In Funimation subs they kept using "he" or "him" when they talked about Garm, so... I still don't know what is he/she. About the manga raws, you should visit Garouniverse blog, they have good scans.
Well, to be honest, I don’t remember having seen Garm’s gender being explicitly stated anywhere, but in her character design you can notice she has a small breast (even more evident in the ending illustration from episode 22). There’s also the reference of the Garm from the original series being woman, even if according to HnK’s scriptwriter, the name is just a coincidence and both characters are unrelated. I don’t think they ever used a gender-specific pronoun for her in the Japanese scripts for the anime, so I think Funimation’s translator just made their guess. Thanks for the indication regarding the manga scans, I’ll look into it and hopefully will resume translation soon.

By the way, do you know if someone has started uploading proper scans of them while I was absent? It would be a great help so you all don’t have to bear with my crappy cellphone camera.
