"Ah, Mr. Kuznetsov. We finally meet. I have heard much about you from our trusted host. All good things, I assure."
Dominance isn’t shouts and demands, it’s a hand at the small of your back and whispered words that make your head spin.
(via tech013)
"Better for business? What exactly are you using her for if she's not just a pretty face? She can't be anything more than that- not with that accent, not with how young she is." He laughs. "I bet she doesn't even speak another language besides English. Has she even picked up any Yiddish from listening to us or is she too busy flirting with the whores?"
Smirk now crooked, Mr. Shapiro let out a small sigh before he clicked his tongue and shook his head.
"Good luck living into your thirties, shtrang."
"A force to be reckoned with? Ha! She's barely five feet tall and, more importantly, under your thumb." Be afraid of a woman- hardly. Especially one as... well, little as her. "I'm just saying. People might get the wrong idea about her." Shiksa she was.
"Have you ever visited the Natural History Museum?" He asked, that familiar, too familiar smirk back on his lips as he looked away in order to light a cigarette.
"Birds. Have you ever seen the skeleton of a bird? Fragile little things, aren't they? And the domesticated ones - they let you pat their neck. So delicate, you could crush it with a simple twist of your fingers, if you wanted to."
He took a long drag, smirk wide and bright through that veil of smoke. "But a crow could pick your eyes out before you could even try to fight it."
Oh, his feygale. His little dove.
"Don't judge a book by its cover, fruend. You will find you're sorely mistaken - and by then, it will be too late.
"And besides," he added with a slight, careless shrug. "Let people get the wrong idea of her. All the better - for business."
"Zay moykhl, Saul." He raises his hands up in surrender, but he's smiling. "Don't tell me you're soft on her."
"I give people the respect they deserve; perhaps you should try doing the same." A thin, tightly-pressed smile. "She is a force to be reckoned with, freund. You would be foolish to underestimate her."
"She's /tease/ is what she is." A short laugh. "She'd be better suited for a whore- you're missing an opportunity, here."
"Zee hat ich nit zagen ir zu heiten dein zong?" The smile is no longer there - Mr. Shapiro was growing weary. "Don’t forget where you are, freund."
What's she even doing? There are other girls that you bring up to that balcony for their purpose, but she... doesn't seem to be there for that. She certainly hasn't gone home with any of us, at least, and we're fairly certain she doesn't leave with you.
"What’s she even doing?" A slight raise of his brow, a gesture of confusion, though clearly not genuine. "She’s doing her job, isn’t she? She’s not a whore, for one — and aside from them, only the hosts are allowed in the balconies. You know that.”
Or, you should, if you weren’t a complete idiot.
How about that little Shiksa who sings for you, Saul?
"Heit dein zong oyv ir tan nit willen zu parlirn es." He replied, that familiar unpleasant smirk not leaving his face for a single second as he brought a cigarette to his lips.
"What about that little bubeleh?" He asked after a long drag, smoke wafting away from his lips.

Oh, she had said it before.
(He had told her to call him Saul or Mr. Shapiro. She was a good little bird. She knew the proper choice in that game. Now? Now she had hesitation.)
She had woken up screaming it. (Did he know that? God, she felt like he did.) She kept her back straight and her hands in her lap as he approached. She could hold a position just fine- no flinching, no looking away. A dare, a beckon. She had an absent little smirk on her lips as she looked up to him. She was all too painfully aware that his hands were not on her. That he was inches from her. That she needed him something someone. She kept her gaze on him, but she tilted her head to the side. She wanted to say it, to taste the smooth velvet of that single syllable sliding over her tongue. She wanted to draw it out and bite it off. She already knew she could scream it- could she simply say it? "Saul." A smooth whisper, red lips turning up to that little smile. Saul- - Saul Saul Saul Saul. Oh, she was curious. Ever so curious. What would he do? She wanted to know. A shudder? Would he take his hands out of pockets and fucking touch her or would he stay there and make her wait, jaw pointed up to him and lips curled in that well practiced smile. She wanted to know. She wanted. She needed.
