Last Quarter Moon in Pisces 🌗♓️🌓 22/23 May 2022 UTC: 22 MAY 2022 @ 18:43 This Last Quarter Moon falls in Pisces, ruled by Neptune & Jupiter (old ruler) and the Water element. The Sun has entered Gemini & sits conjunct Mercury Rx & they both square this Pisces First Quarter Moon, they both also sextile Jupiter in Aries. The energies may be heightened with emotions running a bit wild. We’re still also feeling the remnants of this Lunar cycles two Eclipses. Jupiter in Aries square Black Moon Lilith which may result in frustrations & outbursts that might be hurtful. The Moon trine Black Moon Lilith will help calm things down & help us find the compassion & empathy towards whatever may have come up. First Quarter Moon in Leo 🌓♌️🌗 8/9 May 2022 UTC: 9 May @ 00:21 The Sun is still in Taurus & is also still conjunct Uranus in Taurus & both square this Leo First Quarter Moon. The Sun & Uranus in Taurus both sextile Mars in Pisces but square Saturn in Aquarius. The Moon in Leo sits opposite Saturn in Aquarius. These aspects may be felt as conflicting or frustrating energy. Also Mercury is only hours away from stationing Retrograde May 10. And Jupiter is anaretic at 29 degrees, only hours away from changing signs into Aries May 10. There may be a sense of urgency to do something - anything with Jupiter anaretic! However Mercury is clouding our minds & possibly causing confusion as it gets ready to reverse gears. We had the New Moon which was a luscious Solar Eclipse in Taurus April 30/May 1. The Moon is currently in Gemini ♊️🌙 moving into Cancer shortly ♋️ The energy and the light from the Sun is increasing as the Moon orbits around the Earth. This period is called Waxing. During these next few days we will be able to see the Moon with its beautiful crescent after the Sun sets in the Western sky. The Sun, Moon & Uranus sit conjunct in Taurus amping up the Taurean energies further & they all sextile Mars in Pisces. Venus (Taurus’ ruler) plays an important part in this Taurus Solar Eclipse. Solar Eclipses - Nerdy Moon info 🤓🖋️ "Solar Eclipses can only happen on a New Moon. The reason Solar Eclipses don't occur at every New Moon is because the Moon's orbit has a 5° degree inclination (relative to the Earths orbit around the Sun). This means that for most New Moons, the Moon is above or below the Ecliptic (the Earth's orbit around the Sun) and the shadow of the Moon misses the Earth. But about 2 to 3 times a year the Sun, Moon and Earth are in an exact line with each other, and the Moon must be at or near one of its 2 nodes for this event - a Solar Eclipse - to occur." (The Moon's nodes, called the Lunar Nodes, are the 2 points where the Moon's orbit meets the Ecliptic (the Earths orbit)) And the Lunar Nodes moved into the Taurus/Scorpio axis end of last year. We'll have a Partial Solar Eclipse in Taurus on April 30/May 1 - Partial meaning the Moon is at its furthest point from Earth, and won't quite cover the entire Sun, such as at a Total Solar Eclipse. This can sometimes cause what looks like a ring of fire around the Sun (the Moon and its casting shadow is "smaller" than the Sun) and sometimes the Sun takes on the shape of a crescent - the Moon's shadow takes a "bite" out of the Sun. Last Quarter Moon in Aquarius 23/24 April 2022 UTC: 23 APRIL 2022 @ 11:56 We’re now 3/4 through this Lunar cycle and we’ve arrived at the Last Quarter Moon which falls in innovative Aquarius. The Sun has now entered Taurus and sits at 3 degrees in this sign, squares this Aquarius Moon. Pluto is beginning its Retrograde about a weeks time April 30 and is in a pre-Rx shadow period. Mercury will enter Gemini Apr 29 and begin its pre-Rx shadow period before stationing Retrograde May 10 next Lunar cycle. We're moving towards a more reflective and perhaps "inward" period. First Quarter Moon in Cancer 🌓♋️🌗 8/9 April 2022 UTC: 9 April @ 06:47 This First Quarter Moon falls in emotional & caring Cancer, ruled by the Moon & the Water element. And at this First Quarter Moon - the phase for checking in with our intentions, we can also check in with our emotions & how we are feeling in life. There are quite a few aspects playing out in the sky during this lunation. We may feel extra emotional or something from our past or a past wound may resurface. I can't believe the Astro & Luna planner is in its 4th year of publication! What?!?! Although the first year I only published it for myself, so technically 3 years lol 😅) I originally created the Astro & Luna Planner for myself. I live with CFS/ME and Fibromyalgia and needed a "place" I could feel comforted and supported and that followed the Lunar cycle and had just the right amount of journal prompts, creative options, intentions setting, daily gratitude and places for contemplation. It's proven incredibly effective to use this inward and low energy for letting go and releasing things we no longer wish to carry with us - before the New Moon comes around and starts a new Lunar cycle! 🌙 It's made such a huge difference how I show up every new Lunar cycle doing a Releasing Ritual at the Dark Moon.
