since theres been a little influx of interaction on my posts, I thought I’d give an update! I know I’ve been dead lately, and thats mainly due to diminishing motivation. However! if theres a big push for me to continue the divergent species series, I will absolutely get back into it.

I’m a college student now which is great because the way my schedule is set up has allowed me ample time to consider opening commissions, so if that’s something anyone would want to see lmk!

A bit of a break from the usual httyd content, but I had made two fakemon designs a little while ago! I adore Pokémon a lot and I had generated random words as inspiration for these designs. I know next to nothing about choosing stats so I kinda winged it based on existing Pokémon. idk if I’ll be making anymore of these but it was fun, I love these lil guys

FINALLY a cave creature. I really wish I had gotten this little freak out by halloween but alas life had other plans. Regardless, I’m very proud of this one, as I had to research quite a bit. I actually used a horse chest anatomy to loosely reference the anatomy, but I know the structure is far from accurate lol. I have only a few more to go, and I could not be more excited! tysm for the support thus far, it truly makes me so happy to see you all enjoy my art <3

Dude, your stuff is sooo cool!!! I love the science that goes behind it! Each of the different types of furies just itches that spot in my brain where I need fantasy creatures given scientific explanations!! Do you ever have to research specific environments and stuff?

Only minimally tbh, but just because I already watched every single Nat Geo documentary lol. I have an equally large fixation on just nature in general and it’s definitely helped fuel fantasy :)

oh my God! I loved your Hydrofury! his style was really good! I have other ideas if you're interested, like a species that lives in caves, I have more hearing abilities and they don't have such good vision. Maybe one that lives near volcanoes? Sorry if it's a lot of text, I really loved your art! :3

Yes! A cave-dwelling fury is next in the series, as well as an interpretation of the Light Fury as an arctic variant. I’d love to hear any other ideas you have!

Favorite httyd word? From the books or movies, or anything canon! Just a single word, no phrases

It’s hard to pinpoint a single word from the franchise because a lot of the names of dragons and terminology are two words, but I really like the way gronkle sounds. Without context it’s just a good stim word for my nd brain

I don’t have too too much to say about this guy other than I finally got over my reservations on giving these furies markings, which means I may revisit the others. There will eventually be a lineup of all of them which I am so hype for. Also in case you couldn’t tell this was extremely shark-inspired (gws is Great White Shark). As always feel free to give me critiques, the feedback I’ve gotten thus far has been absolutely delightful and has helped me improve on my ability to make these guys in a way that makes some sense biologically.
