I can’t believe it’s actually done. Based on this image of Bulgarian soldiers cutting barbed wire during World War I. Watercolor pencils, watercolor paint, ink pencils, and watercolor and acrylic ink.
1/2 of a World War I era French soldier who is holding a messenger owl in the original photo.
This kind of shows my process. I map out the proportions with dots and measure with my fingers until I get a basic outline. I'm not sure what kind of color scheme I want to go for with this.
Based on a picture of Dimitar Madzharov, a Bulgarian commander in the Balkan Wars, c.1913. I think this may be the first picture I've ever done in only paint. Here is the original image.
Okay I think it's done?
A shitty photograph of the drawing I'm doing for my aunt.
Ginger is finished. I've never done a furry animal before, there are definitely things I'll do different next time, but I'm happy with how this turned out. Most importantly, my mom is happy with it.
One of two ravens I'm making for my cousin Sean. Used this for a pose reference.
I thought this showed the lace better.
Prints coming soon.
