i just put a deposit down on the tiniest, coziest little bachelor apartment in a great neighbourhood and i am very, very excited to move in at the beginning of may. after spending the past little bit “staying at places” and not really having a home, its nice to know i can settle down soon.

Your photos always have such great composition, and I'm wondering whether you worry in the moment about symmetry/rule of thirds/whatever or just go with whatever looks/feels right? Also how is your dog doing he is v cute

when i shoot music, 9 times out of 10 my camera is waving somewhere above my head and im just hoping its pointing at something interesting. everything else, i have the ability to take my time and think a bit more about what/how i’m shooting, but haven’t really consciously considered any formal rules - stef asks me sometimes why i frame things the way i do and all i’ve been able to answer is “cuz it looks good?” but, then again, maybe 4 years of art school had some sort of positive effect on how i shoot. it’s possible i did learn something. toby is good other than getting a little too fat, but we still like him anyway.

this weekend I shot bts stills on a music video, worked my pt job, shot a marathon, and then shot part of aforementioned music video and I have not slept yet. im so tired
