My favourite Versailles theory/headcanon is that prior to the season 2 finale the Chevalier didn’t have apartments in the palace and so whenever he and Phillpe are fighting he is effectively homeless.

The evidence:

- We never see Chev’s apartments, he is always hanging out in Phillipe’s

- In s2e9 before he follows Thomas he is sleeping in the window alcove. He and Phillipe are fighting therefore he doesn’t have a place to sleep :(

- In the season 2 finale, Louis tells him “you will be given rooms in the east wing”. Did he not have rooms before???

I think that this idea is hilarious and I joke about it all the time with my friends who have seen the show.

rant post about Versailles

i know this is a dead fandom, but after watching this show a far few many times I started to pick up on some things. most of my issues seem to fall on the third season, as it is the weakest out of all three. it just tries to cram way too much story into one season that it becomes hard to follow. my main issue with this season is MAINTENON my god. her entire character was butchered for the sake of what? being bitchy? she makes the latter half of season three insufferable.

anyone who's seen my blog knows my favorite character is Colbert. I just love side characters, especially the ugly mfs. most of his "story" is pushed away until he finally gains a conscious in season three only to die with protestants dying anyways. (I just wish we got to see more of the ministers, that's my only goal.) I do like what they did with the side characters in season three, I just wish it wasn't covered up by worse choices like maintenon's villain arc or the man in the iron mask plot. I do like the maybe friendship hinted between Colbert and Liselotte in ONE episode in season three, might write a story for it one day.
