CERBERUS IS A VERY GOOD BOY
Unless it’s mad, passionate, extraordinary love, it’s a waste of your time. There are too many mediocre things in life. Love shouldn’t be one of them.

I really wanna pack a bag up with all the essentials, buy a train ticket and run away with the one I love. I’d be much happier broke and doing something I love passionately than endlessly studying to work for the rest of my life leading a mediocre life.
I wish people could just say how they feel like ‘Hey I really don’t like when you do that to me’ or ‘Hey I’m in love with you’ or ‘Hi I really miss you and I think about you all the time’ without sounding desperate. Why can’t everyone be painfully honest and just save people the trouble.

I am alive. I am here. I am trying. That is enough.
words you should recite while having an anxiety attack. (via jappan)
i spoke to him the night he got a B- on the quiz and he was laughing while he said “i’m the failure kid” and asked me to pretend i didn’t hear his voice break, just a little bit we were sitting next to each other in lecture hall and she said “but of course, i’m crazy," and despite being one of the strongest people i know, almost cried in front of everyone when i said "i don’t think you’re crazy at all.” what were we supposed to be? our test grades, our extra-curricular activities, the sharp knives of our parents threatening over our heads were we the nights we stayed up late doing terrible things to our wrists, our thighs, anywhere, as long as it hurt so we could prove that we were in control of our own skin, even if addicted, were we the meals skipped, were we the hours of procrastination because everything we did had to be perfect, were we the self-hatred that bubbled against our teeth when we saw something else we had ruined, were we the anger that came from nowhere, the words we didn’t mean? what exactly were we, in all of our elastic body, even supposed to be? we were all of this. but we were also survival methods. we couldn’t get out of bed, but we would spend our nights sleepless, just for a friend, we did everything in our power to please our parents, and when they couldn’t keep us, we made our own families out of books or strangers or whatever we could, we made ourselves soft even when it was hard just breathing, we made ourselves kind just to get back at those who were mean, we wrote poetry that had incongruent rhyme scheme, we made art that was full of our dreams. what were we? we were the dark nights, we were chewing our own marrow out from ourselves but we also were car rides for ice cream at one in the morning, we were bonfires where our secrets came floating out with fireflies, we were beaches and kites and singing in public in six-part off-key harmony, we were dancing in tandem over crosswalks, we were the punch that protected our best friend, we were the gasp of seeing a dog on the street, the wiggle getting into skinny jeans, the bike path we took while discussing philosophy. we were shopping trips, collective writing projects, camping in the woods, we were the collage of beautiful people on our walls but we were three-dimensional, we were swingsets and climbing trees and glow-in-the-dark stars on our ceiling and maybe we were the blood, the bruise, the scream but we were also the after. we were also the healing.

“It’s okay, I’ve found you,” I say. I hold him with both of my arms. He’s shaking like he’s been wounded. “What if you don’t find me next time?” he asks, when the hiccups stop. “What if I’m lost forever?” “I’ll always find you,” I reply.“Even if I have to trek through the Sahara desert, or climb a mountain. If you want to be found, I’ll never stop looking, and if I never stop looking, you’ll always be found.”
S.Z. // Excerpt from a book I’ll never write #265 // “He has depression and it hurts to see him shut himself away from the world. I wish he could see how much I love him, even when he’s lost.” (via blossomfully)
AN OPEN LETTER TO DEATH: have you not taken enough of my friends? is it not irony enough that i have been wanting to kiss you like my lips were necrophiliacs, like i was a termite and you were dry rot - is it not irony enough i have wanted you ever since we flirted in the middle of a car crash, ever since i first saw you in my parent’s bedroom when i was seven years old and about to succumb to a fever of a hundred and ten and i have loved you in my dreams i have loved you in my waking i have tried to find you at the bottom of pill bottles and two feet off the floor with silver neckties around my jugular, i have tried to pen you love poems with silver blades in shaking palms and yet you continue to take the people who don’t want to be gone. i have offered myself to you like i was the ground opening up for the rain, i have called for you in the late nights and i have pictured life after finally making you mine and instead you planted gardens in the ribs of people who had hopes and dreams and futures, you skipped over me like i was bad meat but you wouldn’t just leave, no, you had to kiss everyone who meant anything to me. so how come now that i want to live you are threatening to move in?
“I never got to say goodbye…he was alive and then he wasn’t.” /// r.i.d (via inkskinned)
