THE START OF THE HOGWARTS’ 2019 TERM HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN ! as everyone should be aware of , this school year will be different from any in hogwarts’ past . to inspire unity opposed to divide , many new muggle studies have been incorporated into the curriculum . these classes are , in fact , MANDATORY . failure to participate will result in a number of consequences such as: suspension , expulsion , or even being held back . keeping this in mind , we wish our students the best of luck on their first day back !

unlike most other professors , the newest professor takes a nontraditional approach to teaching in his classroom , ripped jeans & muscle shirts ; hair in an absolute mess on top of his head. while he introduces himself as PROFESSOR HYUN , he soon makes it known that he prefers to be called by his name . deoksoo . he prefers his students to feel comforted while in his classroom & as though they’re not restricted here .
there are no textbooks , list of needed items or anything of the sort ; instead , he begins to explain to them about an app that he’s created exclusive to his class .
the app is called MANIFEST and it works as an anonymous way for people to communicate back and forth without knowing who the other person is. kinda like pen-pals but with a more modern twist.
professor hyun’s entire curriculum is built off of this app . each student must decide upon an on an alias ( one that they muse keep secret or they risk a failing grade ) and then create an account. upon submitting their account, they will be paired up with another member within their class & tossed into a chat .
the main goal of this is to the students to get to know each other without the usual inhibitions at play . they do not know each other’s names , what they look like nor what house they are in ; users are forced to get to know them as who they are inside .
at the end of each month , they’re required to turn in their findings on what they’ve learned , as well as their experience with their pen-pal . still yet , they will not be told who their partner is until the end of the term .
keep this in mind : while the muns know who their partner is , your character doesn’t , so please be sure to treat the interactions as such ! you’ll be able to communicate with your pen-pal both on the dash & in the discord . as expected , you will be using the usernames you have created for these threads opposed to their actual names . it is not meant to be easy to find out who your muse is ! so , try to keep it as secretive as possible .
