Not final, but working out some ideas for another pass on OMAC

some updated lore, also subject to change:

the result of the Lord Family’s attempt to prepare Earth for inevitable Apokoliptan War by creating artificial New Gods in the image of the family’s forebear, Ares. Combining captured future technology in the form of Brother Eye with ancient Berserker War God mentality, the One Man Army Corp was meant to reshape the soft clay of Man into super-beings that could handle conventional armies single-handedly, as Heroes of Old Myth once did. After the premature assimilation of “Buddy Blank” (later identified as Kevin Kho, an underpaid janitor at a Lord Conglomerate factory allegedly manufacturing intelligent exploding sex dolls), the rollout was delayed, only beginning in earnest as the Global Peace Agency’s concern over Mass Production Firestorm Protocols kicked the metahuman arms into high gear, the Great Crisis just around the corner…

Some notes on my thought process in regards to the designs, if some people are interested:

So for Bruce my premise for the design is a Bruce Wayne who has all the brains, willpower, and drive as regular Batman, but just isn’t physically capable of becoming a brick wall of a man. So he’s much more rogue-like in design, with a bigger emphasis on stealth and gadgetry to accomplish his goals. His fighting style is basically “avoid fighting if at all possible, and if not then incapacitated as quickly as possible” with a lot of dirty fighting and using the enemy’s momentum against them (He’s actually….. a lot like Catwoman in that way? Maybe they bond over flexibility training tips (…that wasn’t intended to be a euphemism)). Additionally he looks perpetually pale and sick because of how little sun/sleep he gets, He uses a lot of bronzer when he switches to “Brucie”.

For Diana my concept was basically the same as canon but BIG. Ehehe I’m joking, a bit more went into it then that, but making her look like the ideal of an ancient Greek athlete was the biggest goal. I tried to make her look more mediterranean, with olive skin and hazel green eyes, and that gorgeous nose you see in ancient Greek art. Also more classical Greek elements in her armor (im not a historian I did my best) and I really liked the torso eagle from earlier WW designs so I incorporated that too. Her civilian style is supposed to be very casual/comfortable but stylish and professional, and her golden sword necklace can turn into an actual sword so she’s always ready for action!

Now for Clark! So for his physical appearance I referenced the winners of Strongman competitions, yknow, the guys who can in real life lift cars. The guys who are actually extremely strong rather than just sculpted. This has the added benefit of being very easy to disguise as just fat under baggy clothing. This version of Clark is a little bit nerfed compared to Canon Clark, in that he’s just as strong but has to actually work for it, so he has a workout regimine he keeps to, lifting huge frickin boulders and whatnot in the middle of nowhere to maintain his strength. Without it he’d still be crazy strong but not AS crazy strong, y'know what I mean? (Think Mr Incredible’s whole deal). Additionally he’s supposed to look a little bit “racially ambiguous” since Krypton is often characterized as a distant future earth and I figure there aren’t gonna be very many people without mixed ancestry by that time. He also has a very warm skin tone because of all the time he spends in the sun. As for the costume I like the dark blue of the animated series Superman so I chose that, and I…. okay I’ll be honest im just not a fan of the underwear. I know its traditional and iconic I KNOW I just… I tried to keep it there in spirit. I also tried to keep the design simple enough that it could still believably have been made for him by his mum, but I might do a second pass at it later.

Personally the most frustrating thing is trying to create an experience that mirrors that of Twitter (i.e finding funny accounts, accounts with interesting things to say about leftism, and comics accounts while excluding all of the forced bullshit that the host company shoves down its user’s throats to cater to their shareholders) because that experience can really only be created from the ground-up, not by hopping back on an account that I haven’t used since hs, where my tastes and beliefs were very, very different.
