I tend to draw character designs that I don't really like and it usually endears me to them in this case Hungorge and Brokenbrella, everyone else was just me wanting to draw more yokais.

I’m really glad that KC Green’s work is being more widely recognized after the whole “This is not fine” comic came out.

He’s been in the comic making game for a really long time and he has…a bit of a knack for creating things that are used as reaction images and never credited back to him.

He’s a really cool guy and a great artist and I HIGHLY recommend following his work.

Beta & Earthlings

Those were such good episodes, I wasn’t sure we would get another big whammy like that right after Bismuth. Peridot and Lapis being junkjard bohemians, Amethyst coming to terms with herself, Jasper being defiant till the end, and of course Smokey!

I was never a fan of Lapis, always did find her on the dull side, but she’s really grown on me these last few episodes. But Jasper reaching her own “breaking point” was such a high point imo. Her pride didn’t let her stop, didn’t let her give up, didn’t let her ask for help; and the only moment of weakness she “allowed” herself to have, was that little bit of self loathing that ‘no one wants to fuse with her’. Also her final bit of dialogue was such a nicely done parallel to Bismuth, both sort of trying to understand that Steven isn’t Rose.

And of course Smokey was amazing, they just want to have a good time.
