i should have submitted her but i forgor, so here's my fiona gallagher propaganda:

fiona gallagher suffered more than jesus. she is the most parentified fictional sibling of all time (dean winchester truly has nothing on her) but istg the way some people talk about fiona you'd think she was a middle class stay-at-home suburban mom in her late 40s with two kids. she's a flawed parental figure, no one's going to deny that, but she's literally not her siblings' parent!!! she's trying her best, but she's been raising her siblings since she was 9 (if not earlier given that horrific story she tells about having to walk ian and lip to the clinic in the middle of the night when she was six years old) while also being abused and neglected by her truly godawful parents. and the utter refusal to take into account the practical circumstances under which she is parenting is just insane to me. even if she weren't an extremely traumatized, parentified, and abused young woman, it would still be basically impossible for her to single-handedly take perfect care of five kids while also being the primary bread winner of a big family below the poverty line.

free my girl, she did all that, but she deserves just as much empathy as her male siblings who also did all that and didn't have to raise five kids while they were doing all that.
