Omg yes @getsuuna ! That's why I'm a strong believer in GiyuuSane! Sanemi has been taking care of people his whole life and has had to be independent out of necessity. His character development was learning to trust and depend on people.
Giyuu on the other hand has been dependent on people, from his sister to Sabito which made him feel useless and unreliable. His character development was realizing that he can be depended on and that he is capable.
Plus Giyuu's characterization as a defenseless twink is so funny because he's one of the sassiest characters on the show. My man is just quiet, a bit dumb, depressed and suffering from imposter syndrome, he's not soft. This is someone who whacked a traumatized 13-year-old unconscious out of anger, who tied up Inosuke and told him to go back to training, and deadass called the scariest Hashira stupid 😂 also remember when he freed himself from being tied up by just ripping the ropes? Giyuu is not soft.
I feel that in romantic and sexual relationships, especially dom/sub, it's primarily about emotional/psychological needs. Sanemi needs to learn to trust. He has to learn to let others take the lead, that he has value and he deserves to be loved, taken care of, cherished and protected. Giyuu needs to learn that he can be trusted. He has to learn that he can take the lead, to trust himself more and believe that he has the capacity to take care of and protect the ones he loves.
Their relationship would be a safe space where Sanemi can lay down his armor and let himself be loved by Giyuu and where Giyuu in turn can feel comfortable taking care of Sanemi.
Gonna delete this pic later. Here's the artist's pixiv! They're a GySn believer and their works are so cool!
