You know what? You make a good point there. Forget aliens or zombies - ants are the thing that’s gonna take over the world in the next couple of decades.

I’m not sure there is anything quite as satisfying as someone coming up to you when you’re out in public telling you you look like “that chick from Glee.” I never know what the hell to say back, so most of the time I just say something dumb like oh, yeah, I get that all the time! I can’t be the only one this happens to…
Oh my god, now that you mention it, you totally do look like that chick from Glee. I honestly usually just get told that my eyebrows aren’t as good as Cara’s, but we can’t all win everything.
I just spent the morning by the lake watching ants work and it left me with one question, do you think they know how very small they are?

Dianna groaned quietly as Lily pushed past her, keeping her arms folded across her chest as he followed behind her. She took a deep breath as she rounded the corner into the kitchen, leaning against the counter as he looked across at her best friend. “You are really bad at lying. You’re checking up on me.” Dianna accused, pointing a finger across at Lily before sighing and making her way to where the brunette was standing. “Love me.” She pouted, holding her arms out towards the one person she trusted more than anything in the world.
"Well I didn't want you to not let me in." Lily let out a soft laugh as she put the ice cream into the freezer, turning to face her best friend the second the door freezer door was closed. "Come here." Pulling her best friend into her arms, she dropped a few kisses against the side of Dianna's head, making sure they were over the top loud. As she leant back she met the blonde's eyes easily, "How about I go tidy up a bit while you have a shower, and then we can eat shitty food all day and watch bad TV?" She knew that talking wasn't going to come easily to the older woman, but quality best friend time was always the best place to start.
I suppose it’s less light packing and more organized packing, which I indeed learned from traveling here and there. Sure, I’d love to. Especially when there are drinks involved.
Well you can teach me while you help me unpack, because I really need that lesson. What do you drink?

The past forty eight hours had been absolutely insane for the blonde. She had gone from being on the highest high to hitting the lowest low in such a quick amount of time - it amazed her that he hadn’t gotten whiplash. If there was one thing Dianna hated, it was feeling pathetic, and as she sat cuddled up on her sofa with a pint of ice cream in her hands, she knew she’d hit a whole new level of pathetic. The knock at the door caught her off guard, her brow pulling together slightly as he pushed up off the sofa and padded to the door. Her large dressing gown was all but drowning her, her hair was a mess and she hadn’t bothered to shower or brush her teeth in days. When she opened the door and caught sight of Lily, her eyes rolled. “What are you doing here?” She groaned, crossing her arms over her chest as she spoke.
For Lily, there was never anything more important than the happiness of her friends. And after letting her best friend have a full day to be as pathetic as she needed to be, she got herself up and made her way over to pester a smile back onto Dianna's face. Her walk to the blonde's house involved a few stops, emergency ice-cream, the biggest bottle of Southern Comfort that she could find - the irony of them being in Texas not escaping her as she giggled to herself, and the final stop to get a new candle for Dianna's house - knowing she'd be able to use it as the perfect excuse to show up at her doorstep. By the time Lily found herself ringing the doorbell, she was more than ready to rain down a storm of best friend support. "I realised I hadn't got you a housewarming gift." She spoke the words quickly, pushing past her best friend and making her way straight through to her kitchen.

No. I don’t believe that I should live my life by searching for the next love or what I want my life to be like in the future. I’m taking everyday as it comes, and just making sure that I’m happy.
If you had to spend the rest of your life handcuffed to one person, who would it be?
My best friend Dianna. She’d make sure that we got into enough trouble to keep life interesting, and I’ve shared bathrooms with her so many times that I wouldn’t need to worry about that part of it.

I’m not sure. I’m not the kinda girl who wants to give up her name, or her autonomy to someone else. I’m not big on kids either, the screaming and crying freaks me out.

Dianna: Okay I hate myself for what I'm about to say but I gotta. I really thought maybe this was my chance, you know? I thought maybe all those shitty dates and bad experiences were all leading up to him. I /really/ thought this was going to be it for me.
Lily: Babe, this whole thing doesn't mean that he isn't the /one/... But that doesn't mean you should change who you are as a person for him.
Lily: You're so strong, and you're gonna get through this no matter which way it turns out. If it doesn't - then he isn't the guy.
