I finally remembered to share this! This is the entire IDW Transformers collection on a google drive folder, coordinated by W.D. Gasriel. I stumbled upon it while scrolling Pinterest a few weeks ago after the site I was originally reading on went down.

So, as we all know, Prowl’s weight gets commented on a bit. The weight gain was caused by his frame being reformatted so he could be a part of the combiner. While he is not self conscious about his weight, these comments are a reminder that his frame was changed against his will. These reminders make him feel sad, violated, and a lot more other complex emotions.

The Constructicons notice this, but there is not much they can do to help. So, they started glaring at/threatening people who make comments or are about to make a comment. They get between the mech and Prowl before they finish the sentence so they can stop it from being said as a way to protect Prowl.

Also, as their own little source of showing off, they effortlessly lift/carry Prowl around when they are near people who have made comments, tried to make comments, or that they want to show off to. It signifies that those people are weak, and that they are better for Prowl.

Prowl finds being randomly picked up and carried around very annoying. But when he's in a mood and doesn't want to move his own frame, it can be very helpful.
