AAAAA okay FIRST OF ALL... The sign language headcanon?? Woah! I can't stop thinking about it. I'll talk about it later on!
I absolutely love seeing everyone's different Trollex headcanons! Some people imagine huge AUs, some imagine little day-to-day habits, and I always find it fun to see how differently we all interpret the same character. For me, I usually try to stay as close to canon as possible, so my headcanons tend to be little habits or hobbies rather than changing major parts of a character.
For your other haedcanons, I don't know if I can fully get behind the cat one (mostly because… underwater cats?? 😭) or the fursuit one (I have SO many logistical questions about wet fursuits 💀), BUT I absolutely love how specific they are.
🤟 Okay... But... First, I Need to Talk About the Sign Language Headcanon
The more I thought about this one... The more I realized this might not just be a Trollex headcanon. It might be a Techno Troll headcanon.
Because think about where they live. Their entire kingdom is basically one giant rave. 😭 The music is LOUD. Like... "I-can-feel-the-bass-in-my-soul" loud. So what happens when you need to ask:
👉 "Where's the medic?"
👉 "Can you help me with this?"
👉 "Meet me over there."
👉 "Is everyone okay?"
You're probably not going to scream over the drop. 💀 So instead...
I think Techno Trolls would naturally develop sign language as part of everyday life. Not because they can't speak. Because sometimes... Speaking just isn't practical.
And, I LOVE that. It would mean kids grow up learning it. Friends casually sign to each other across crowded dance floors. Festival crews coordinate without yelling. Security can communicate during concerts. Parents can check on their kids without interrupting the music.
And of course, Trollex would know it too. Not just because he's king. But because he's a Techno Troll. It would simply be another language he grew up speaking.
And now I genuinely can't imagine Techno Reef any other way. 😭💙So... Congratulations. I'm stealing that headcanon. It's mine now, too. 😂
And here are more of my own completely unnecessary Trollex headcanons:

Not just names, your favorite song, your favorite color, that remix you showed him six months ago, the fact your cousin just got promoted.
He's basically a walking customer service representative.

If something breaks, he'll absolutely sit on the floor for three hours trying to fix it because he wants to understand how it works.
