having a lot of thoughts about how well-liked and charming and personable stellan was, to the point where he was arguably the most popular firebrand to be around. elzar mentions numerous times how much stellan would smile and laugh. stellan knows and seems to be reasonably close with a number of jedi outside of avar and elzar (emerick comes to mind immediately; and even if he and orla didn't necessarily see eye to eye, he trusted her enough to help elzar, who is supremely important to him). padawans and other young jedi look up to him, and there's obviously a reason the chancellor wanted him as the face of the jedi (even if doing so wasn't the most comfortable for him). it's reinforced throughout canon how many people liked him a lot, and how much they liked him and respected him. and i just think that makes it even more special that he chose elzar (the outcast) and avar (the reckless troublemaker) as the two most important people in his life.
having a republic longbeam named after him. jedi master mirro lox's grief at his death (and when he heard about starlight falling, mirro knowing that one of the firebrands had died, even if he didn't know which one yet; he just knew their trio had been broken). jedi santar shouting "for stellan!" before charging in to fight a nameless. zeen having stellan's holo up every night (among holos of the other fallen) when she sings at the cantina.
he was so admired and so so loved by so many people around him. he touched so many people's lives just by being himself; being good, being as exemplary of a jedi as he could be, sharing joy and laughter.
stellan didn't think it mattered that his star would burn out with the fall of starlight, because so many others would be shining in his place. but he still shines so brightly. he truly is the polestar.

Of something beautiful, but annihilating.
— Sylvia Plath, The Rival
“She was the mistress of all the novels, the heroine of all the dramas, the vague “she” of all the volumes of verse.”

Human speech is like a cracked tin kettle, on which we hammer out tunes to make bears dance when we long to move the stars.

Reading Fall of Giants by Ken Follet. I dunno why I love so much doing this kind of things. Call me nerd.
Two Can Kepp a Secret by Karen M. McManus
The main characters on the story are Ellery and Malcolm, whose brother was the main suspect in a crime that occurred 5 years ago. Due to their mother's drug problems, Ellery and her twin brother Ezra move to their mana's hometown. Long ago, when her mother was in her senior year of high school, her mother's twin sister was the first young woman at Echo Ridge to disappear. When they arrive in the city, it is soon threatened again.
As well as “One of Us is Lying, this book was great! I liked the characters, especially the twins, Ellery, and Ezra. In addition to the detective plot, the story also offers us a nice romantic line, which does not hurt at all.
The story kept me hooked and I was able to finish it quickly. It is exciting and mysterious from start to finish. I didn't guess who the killer was, and I couldn't think of why. And the last sentence left me in shock. I loved the ending.
If you like detective stories, I definitely recommend this book
The Guest List by Lucy Foley
➖The wedding party of the year.
➖An unexpected death.
➖Thirteen suspects.
At the beginning of the story, we are told that a murder has been committed, but we don’t know who has been murdered or who is the killer. As the story unfolds, the puzzle is added piece by piece and the suspicions change from chapter to chapter. The story is very entertaining and the twists are really exciting; during the whole time you wonder who has died and who is the killer and why, I actually was suspicious of everybody. I enjoyed this read a lot and highly recommend it.
The Whisper Man by Alex North
“If you leave a door half-open, soon you’ll hear the whispers spoken . . . “
Until he was finally caught, the killer was known as ‘The Whisper Man’.
Of course, an old crime need not trouble Tom and Jake as they try to settle in to their new home.
Except that now another boy has gone missing. And then Jake begins acting strangely.
He says he hears a whispering at his window .
Oh, what a book this was! Crime and a bit of horror in a single story worth reading. The plot is great, it kept me in suspense and constant tension, not knowing what would happen next. I was afraid and wanted to continue reading/listening to this book at the same time. This story has a slight supernatural element, which some may not like, but in my opinion, this is what makes it interesting and intriguing.
