Mapworld is a map store that has served Calgary for the last 28 years. We sell an array of maps, globes, GPS and nautical charts. We take pride in the fact we have grown the company on custom mapping and GIS consulting. The consulting side of our business consists of converting data into a map format, then displaying the data into digital or physical media. If you just need a map, we have you covered off; topo sheets, resource access, base maps, landowner maps, travel maps, atlases, no place in the world is too small or obscure to cover in one way or another. We're located in the Hanover Building on the SW corner of Centre Street and 6th Avenue in downtown Calgary. Call, message, or stop by!

Aleatronic Feedback Machine
An Interactive Sound Installation by Kyle Whitehead

ACADS own Kyle Whitehead! An aleatoric action embraces elements of chance, or in this case, chance sounds incorporated into a process of generative experience. The Aleatronic Feedback Machine creates the conditions for exactly this sort of aleatoric action to occur. Modular in its design this interactive installation is composed of several discreet but complementary electronic circuits; when coupled together these modular components form a generative and reactionary feedback system of sound and light that is greater than the sum of its parts.

This ones a personal favorite! National Geographic's "The Earth's Moon" is like having an atlas and almanac in one. This incredible map/poster shows a detailed image of both sides of the Moon, an index of hundreds of lunar features, and landing spots for lunar missions. It includes graphics and descriptions of the moon's phases, its revolution in relation to the Earth and Sun, eclipses, and how the moon affects tides on Earth.
