Hi everyone! How are you? What if Mike killed himself after everyone left for college and moved on with their lives and he felt so alone and he took his own life and he never told Will he loved him and vice versa and when Will hears he goes to the funeral and has to look at Mike laying there in his casket with his eyes closed completely lifeless and all he can see is his best friend at five years old asking him to be friends on a swingset and years later he finds a love letter that Mike never sent because he was too damn scared and it ends with "maybe in another life" crossed out followed by "Love, Mike"? Anyways haha hope your doing good!

As mad as I am about the painting, not being adressed, I am almost equally as mad about Max's letters!!!

Only slightly less because they were meant as a "fail-safe" and she lived, so we can assume she gets to tell them herself all the things she wrote.

But I think a really impactful scene could have been when they were really losing hope. They all go to their own rooms and read the letters!! Maybe Lucas wouldn't, to show he hasn't lost hope, but I don't know!! You don't really bring up things like this in a story and then just NOT do anything with it!!

i wanted them to have a scene talking about this and lucas asking her to just tell him what was in the letter instead of reading it but no, the duffers just fucked up their entire ending instead

And as far as I can remember, they never get to say that they love each other.

Like, we know they do, I think their love is the best represented in the show. (Even with the issues of season 5)

But this would have been a really good opportunity for them to actually get to say it, to actually show how far they have come from the start of season 4!!

I would have loved a moment of the others reading their letters, him deciding not to and then them getting this convo afterward!

I don’t even think they needed to say it, one of the things I loved about their relationship is that they KNEW they loved each other bc of their ACTIONS and so it wasn’t a big deal to say it (unlike some other couples in the show COUGH COUGH)

but yea her reading the letter to him would’ve been so impactful and actually wrap up the story in a more complete way. Guess they just forgot about the letters, yk same as the demagorgons 🤷‍♀️
