a lot of the personal posts relate to my current battle with cancer; including talk of death and spirituality. feel free to ask (respectful) questions; i try to answer them when i have free time.

Hi all, it's Autumn. With a heavy heart, I am sharing that Skyler passed away on January 3, 2026.

His fight with osteosarcoma was long and so, so difficult. He gave it his all, and it gave us more time than we ever anticipated.

His light will always shine on in my heart, and in the hearts of everyone who was blessed enough to have crossed paths with him. I want to thank all of you for the roles you played in his life and the moments that brought him into the best part of my life.

apologies if I don't express my frustration with grace when it comes to venting about antiblackness whether it be through art or text posts. it just, it feels like when I speak about this racism I experience I feel like I have to hold hands with non black (mainly white) individuals and talk about antiblackness like it's the ABC's so people can understand.

but I have to also understand too that racial bias and blindness is something a lot of allies have when it comes to seeing racism in all its ways. racism can be loud but it can also be subtle and still hold the same amount of violence and discomfort as overt racism.

okay we all know daytime/late night television sucks. but since i've been stuck in the hospital, i'm pretty much forced to watch it. and there's this show i think called Neighborhood? it's actually not the worst thing in the world, HOWEVER. jesus christ. in this episode this character, who is VERY MUCH a choice feminist, goes to a male strip club after being invited. and the WHOLE TIME she talks about how nobody ever asks me. what THEY want, and they're only dancing for WOMEN'S pleasure, and that, AND I QUOTE,

"It's almost like Magic Mike is the perfect allegory for feminism!!"

SOMEONE PLEASE take me out of my misery, I know that her being stupid is part of the joke, but hearing that particular sentence made me SCREAM
