Change comes like the ticking of seconds -

Inevitable, oftentimes fearsome and sad.

A wrinkle in time that knocks on your door,

Forcing you to confront issues you repeatedly tried to ignore.

Change, it sometimes comes to you in secret,

Only knowing it is real when it is there.

Most of the time it is a welcomed guest,

But more often that not, a suspicious stranger.

It is a hurtful blow, at the same time a comforting hug -

A feigned innocence that relinquishes strength.

Change sometimes kisses you on your cheek for a good night sleep,

Or it could be a nightmare that haunts you in your dreams.

The indifference and apathy that ruins the heart,

The smell of a sweet perfume that you did not have.

Change is a game that may lead to a tragic play,

The regret of forgetting the words you needed to say.

The Beautiful Opposite

I have never understood

the beauty of the unexpected

until I met you.

That different look in your eyes -

a blend of inherent gentleness

with the right amount of grit.

It has made me abandon my norm,

ignore a number of my preferences

and love the mystery of the unknown.

I have kept my heart safe,

but the risk of your temptation,

it was so hard to break.

In that moment, I knew -

you will never leave me in this lifetime

and the next.

Because I know I will never stop searching,

I will never stop searching

for my beautiful opposite that is you.

Empath

“I’ve had enough, I don’t want to live anymore!!”

“I don’t understand why he has to leave. Am I not enough?”

She has lived with these voices in her head. There was a time when she thought she was crazy because she could not silence these voices. She knew these weren’t hers. These were voices of people – hurting, lonely, and suffering. Most of all, these were voices that no one else can hear but her.

Overtime, she knew. She cannot ignore them. So she chose to reach out to them. Such is the beauty and curse of an empath.

Escribir despierta en mí el amor por vivir, por experimentar mil cosas, por amar a otras almas y entregarles luz,verdad y belleza en en la forma de versos y letras. Así que en realidad no se si amo por que escribo y escribo porque amo pero lo que si se es que nací para escribir. "

I hope you answer asks. I noticed your pieces and I fell in love with them. I’d like to send a prompt - the wonder of rain. My love story started and ended in the rain, and even though that’s the case, I never hated the cold.

I love the rain, especially when I’m just in my room. I’d love to write about that but please bear with me. Life, right now, is a rollercoaster ride so I might not be able to write as often as I did, or as often as I want to.

Poisoned

There was a time when she felt so little,
