“Charm them to polish them, but not to make them smaller.” Lily laughed to herself. Her eyes stayed down looking at her hands as she listened to his words, she may have even paused her breathing as she was taken aback from his sudden question, but she definitely wasn’t against it, if anything she was thankful for it.  When she finally looked back up and over at him, the biggest grin she’s ever had on her face was on it and she moved from her spot over to his bed to wrap her arms around him in a tight bear hug. “I want to.” She said, “I would really love that.” She said pressing a kiss on his cheek. “You’ll always be my Mr. Popular.”

“Don’t pick on me, Lily Evans.”  He then smiled at her and he moved to hug her back. “Good. I told Sirius i wanted to ask you and he told me that he wanted us to have space but needs to be close. I want Sirius to be close too. I told him that he could move in with me too but he said next time.” He then smiled at her words.  “Well thank you. I may even be going to miss patrols.”  He then took her hand and brought it to her lips. “I know we’re still figuring this thing out with us and this isn’t me pressuring for other things. I promise.”

“No matter where you put them, they’ll collect dust unless you’re polishing them all the time.” She said picking at the blanket as she chewed n the inside of her cheek. “There’s not much time to figure it out left.” She said, her voice quiet as she did, “I have to find a place still.” She told him honestly, “And job.” Lily added a moment later with a sigh. “I didn’t think seven years would go by this quickly.”

“I could totally charm them to polish themselves.”  He nodded. “Yeah, I know.” He then bit down on his lip. “You know, you could move in with me. I mean, I know we’re still at the ‘oh hey, we love each other’ point but I mean, we don’t want to be separated and I’d feel much better in this world, if I knew you were safe. I mean, if you want.”  He then nodded. “I didn’t either. I’m used to being Mr. Popular. i’m not ready for it to be over, really.”

“I get the feeling he might shank someone if they messed with his ‘beautiful hair’.” He mused with a laugh.”Don’t worry he’s pretty important to me as well. Not to mention I already know he’s going to be bloody hopeless trying to learn how to use ‘muggle things’ in the real world without me, so I’m going to stick around and hold his hand through working a microwave.” He replied lightheartedly “I would, sorry mate I’m just cute there’s no way around it. You’re too rugged to be cute.” Flynn just snorted. “Right well I’m cute and have a sexy boyfriend to prove it.” He countered jokingly.

“He would.” He nodded. “That’s very true, but then again, I can guarantee that I won’t be a whole lot better. I don’t really understand a lot of those things, like that hoover or whatever it’s called that gets dirt up. That thing is bloody terrifying. I can’t handle it, on any level.”  He rolled his eyes. “Fine, I can be rugged and you all can have your connection and me and him will continue to share a brain, as long as it’s not about you know, being into you.”

The girl stuck out her tongue at him and failed at holding back a a toothy smile. “Right.” She said giving him a look, “Sorry, I forgot.” She said with a wave of her hands. “Then if you’re not going to charm them how are you going to get them in the suitcase?” With a sigh, lily looked at him, “I really doubt that, but fine if you think you need them keep them. Find a place with a garage and put them there instead of a car. You and Sirius should go house hunting.”

He smiled at her.  “I haven’t figured that out yet.”  He smiled at her. “I haven’t figured that out yet, really. But I prefer that I have a room for them, versus just putting them in a room where they’ll gather dust.” He bit down on his lip. “Yeah, there’s just some things I’m figuring out. How about you? What are your plans, living situation wise?”

“Wait! Say that again.” Lily said leaning against the entrance of the boys dorms with a smirk on her face. She truly believe she walked in on the perfect moment to catch James saying what he had, “At least you’re fully admitting it now.”Her smirk turned in her a teasing grin and she moved from her spot towards him and took a spot on one of the beds across from his, looking at James and his current surroundings, “Just make them smaller.” She said gesturing towards the large number of brooms, figuring that was what he was troubled by, “Or give some to kids who need one.” She suggested a moment after.

He then smiled at her. “Shut it.”  He then groaned as he looked over at her.  “You know love, guys like me aren’t about making things smaller. I am larger than life, in many ways.” He then bit down on his lip. “I can’t. What if I decide one day, that I need this broom and I don’t have it? I totally need to find a place where I can have all these brooms, and one that has a place open next door, because Sirius wants to be my neighbor.”

Graduation was soon, tomorrow at that, and it was making James do a hell of a lot of reflecting. There was so much going on, things that Dumbledore had discussed with him and just life in general. .He and Lily were a thing now, since they both admitted they loved each other and the more he thought about it, the more he wanted to talk to her about the future. He’d sent her an owl that morning, at like 6 in the morning actually, and asked her to meet him in his dorm. He knew that the guys were likely busy and sometimes, he felt like there was no quiet place in Hogwarts. Plus, he was still trying to figure out how the hell he was supposed to fit his 14 brooms in his trunk, plus everything he’d gotten this year.  Okay so, he had 46 more brooms at home, but still.  He was trying to figure this out.  He was sat on his bed with everything in front of him as he waited and muttered to himself. “I do believe I am an actual girl.”

“It’s really all downhill from there. I can’t even tell you all the shit I went through to realizing how I felt about Flynn and then each of us admitting our feelings.” He let out a sigh. “James, you’re my brother and that’s never going to change. Your visiting rights never expire nor can they be taken away, so long as the same thing happens if you move in with your ‘non-platonic favorite person’.” He clapped his friend on the back. “I miss the days before we realized there was something called sex. And honestly so would I. You and I, we’re basically married at this point.”

“I’m sure it was a long road, like me and Lily.”  He nodded. “You’re my brother too. There’s no one who will ever mean more than you. I mean, non-platonic people aside, you are the other part of me, with slightly worse hair.”  He nodded. “I think we were what, 12, when that happened. And yes, we are. They’re just our mistresses.”

“I would sure hope not.” She said, her tongue sticking out at him for half a second. A small, almost unnoticed hum came from Lily as she allowed the kiss to last a little bit longer, pulling away but letting herself place smaller quick kisses on his lips before smiling up at him. “Thank you….” She said, “For not giving up on me.”

He smiled at her. “Not at all.”  He smiled again when she pressed quick kisses on his lips for longer. “Thank you for finally seeing that what this thing is, it is something real and it’s only going to get better.”

“Sirius as a ginger? Now that’s a sight I’d pay to see.” Flynn mused. “Don’t worry mate, I have every intention of taking very good care of him.” He hummed, before letting out a laugh. “Are we really going to have a ‘who’s more adorable competition’ because I’d win even on a bad day. I’m just cute, it’s apart of my nature. I’m all freckles, blue eyes, and dimples.”

“He should totally be a ginger, one week.”  He nodded. “Good, because he’s damn important to me.”  He then rolled his eyes. “No you would not but fine, you can be adorable but I get to be sexy, because well I am sexy and I have the cute girlfriend to prove it.”

“Let’s call it even then.” She said pushing her lips together, fully aware she had moments that would of course upset him too. As soon as his lips were on hers, she couldn’t help but allow herself to smile into it and allow herself to completely enjoy it, enjoy kiss him. She made no move to deepen it, she liked the simpleness and chasteness and beauty of newly confessed feelings pouring into the littlest of kisses.

“Yes, and I’m not angry with you, now.”  They would always get on each other’s nerves. He knew that, for a fact. He kept the kiss, as chaste as she did, letting her set the pace. He had his fair share during his years at Hogwarts of too many things going too fast. Granted, he wouldn’t say no, if that was what she wanted. But chaste was new to him and he didn’t hate it.

“What? You want to be his favourite non-platonic person? Because if so that’s a plot twist.“ Flynn teased. “Excuse you, you are not. I’m very pretty, and bloody adorable.”

He smirked at him. “Hm, maybe if he dyed his hair red. I have a thing for those. But no, I am happy for you, mate. Just take good care of him. Feed him, all the good stuff.”  He then scoffed. “Not as adorable as I am, thank you.”

Lily shook her head against his body, she felt almost silly for thinking that she’d be able to. She didn’t want to get rid of him anyways, what she wanted was to keep him forever and maybe in her next life too. “I won’t let you.” She mumbled, “Even if you make me super angry, I won’t get rid of you.”  The girl let out a content sigh in his arms and tried not to let the fear in the back of her mind take over, she was too happy at that moment to let it. “I suppose you can have kiss increase.”  She teased, pulling back only enough to be able to see his face.

“Good.” He then smiled at her. “I’m always going to make you angry. It’s what I do best, you know.”  He smiled at her. “You know, sometimes you make me angry too. It’s not just me, you know.” He then smiled at her. “Good, because that I can handle too.” He leaned in and pressed a kiss to her lips.

“Once upon a time I thought we’d keep living together, but that was before you know… we found ourselves attached to other’s.” He ran a hand through his hair. “I’d want to give you two space, just not too much space. I need you right next door. I have separation anxiety.”

“Well I’ve not even brought it up to her. She took four million years to admit she liked me, so yeah. I think I prefer 11 year old us, before all these hormones. But, let’s get one thing straight. If you ever move in with your ‘non-platonic favorite person’, he’s never allowed to take away my visitation rights, because i’m still your favorite.” He sighed. “I haven’t even asked her yet and you know I’d be fine, if it was you, me and her. But next door could be good. What if it was one of those flats where it’s separate but we share a door outside or something?”

“What do you mean I have no idea?” He mused. “I uh… figured I’d live near you so you need to get on that.”

“Are you thinking near or with me? I mean, I’m fine with both obviously, but I’ve also half been thinking someone else too, as I’m not entirely sure she’s got anywhere else to go, except near her cow of a sister and no.”
