I have been working on this for the past year, and I can’t believe I’m getting close to finishing it (after scrapping it halfway through). Opening up my instagram (@marblemoonstudio) for volunteers to include real people, with real bodies was the best decision. Seeing people’s responses to seeing themselves as tarot cards has made my heart so happy and full.

I’d like to point out that Fairuza is not only the ONLY one that took her side,but that Fairuza is Rromani and has been pretty much black listed for speaking out against multiple issues with hollywood(including having to do a sex scene as a child,with a very famous brit actor).

We are opening up our witchy store soon!

And I’m on the lookout for more independent vendors! Our store carries only independent makers, and we’re always on the hunt for new artists and creators, and I’d love to get to know any witchy creators who are interested in wholesaling!

Our store is located in New Jersey and will be opening March 1st. I’m on the hunt specifically for any thing witchy for the home - pottery, textiles, altars, altar cloths, etc. If you’re interested, please email me! It’s insane to me that I have this opportunity, and I’d love to extend it to as many of my witchy artists as I can! Here’s the progress on the shop so far!

calling all black, queer, fat witches!

hi, y'all.

i wrote this article and i created a website called West Peach about being a Black fat queer witch. It has a few different components i want to quickly go through but my main goal is to support the creation of the blog, Peachy Keen.

the shop - i make my own body care products and i have been doing so for about four years now. i love the idea of starting a small online store so I’m seeking help getting it up and running.

freelancing services - i’d love to become 100% self-employed one day so this is my attempt! if you know of anyone who is in need of freelance writing or editing services (even college students!), send them my way.

the blog - out of all the things on this website, this is what i hope to see come to fruition the most. i am in dire need of a community of fat queers, of Black queers, of queer witches, of Black witches and all the combinations of those words. so this blog, Peachy Keen, is a push for a community that writes for itself and respects all of these identities. if you even think you relate to this, please submit writing to the blog! please forward this to your friends and have them submit too. i feel like this can and will be something great.

my partner patiently sat through the whole creation of the site as I made this from new year’s eve to now. it’s been three whole days of madness in our household but i’m proud of the outcome and i really seek your involvement.

SO.. as a lot of you know, we have been hosting monthly witchy get-togethers in the Philadelphia area known as Coven Cocktails which are designed to be safe inclusive, diverse and accessible spaces for witchy people, and we’ve received A LOT of messages about creating similar events in other areas, so we’re opening up for other chapters. We currently have a Philadelphia/South Jersey chapter, and a NYC one is pending. 

If you’re interested, it’s totally free to open a chapter - we provide the monthly guides and kits to host your own events, with the plus of them being added to our social media reach. 

Our guideline are: 

Inclusivity + Diversity: Coven Cocktail events should be open to all people, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age (within legal restrictions) and religion. 

Accessibility: All Coven Cocktail events should be as accessible as possible to the areas they serve. This includes maintaining a level of financial and physical accessibility. 

So, if you’re interested, feel free to fill out an application here - or share, so we can reach as many witches as we can!

May I ask how old you are based on your most recent post. You said you were 17 when you were fighting for gay rights back in the day. I ask because it's rare to find witches in the community over 20 or 25

I’m 26 actually, 27 in January! And most of my irl witch friends are 30+. I think you may just mean the tumblr witch community because most witches I meet are 25 and older haha.
